Bummer The Business was one of my favorites as a teen, when I was 15 I saw them headline a show in SF with Agnostic Front, F Minus, and this band called Resilence, we all got drunk and my friend puked in the back of my parents minivan and I wasn't allowed to go back to Slim's anymore until I was 18.

It's a split between SF and OKC.  and i love google!  I went to the Mountain View HQ at least 3 times and then various Google buildings around SF. They sure know how to treat people.  I was lucky because my mentor works at Google so I had a nice way in to visit.  Would be a dream to actually work there.

Don't fuck around if you are in pain my friend. When I went and had mine taken out, it was on the verge of bursting. My friend's friend had hers burst in the doctors office while she was waiting to be seen and she spent 3 months in the hospital recovering... Pain isn't a big deal to me so when I hurt, it means serious business. My hardheaded ass knew it was time to go when I said "ok, this is too much"

Be careful with waiting too long, I started feeling bad and had mine out within a few hours and the doctor said it was about to burst.

A few days and I'm already over half way 70% of the way to my goal of getting funds to go see my lady in the UK in January. So fucking stoked. Gonna go for like three weeks, and hit up Belgium and a few other places while I'm at it. Crazy that Belgium is only a two hour train ride from London.

Not really new equipment but I gave in and went to Ikea and bought some furniture that looks a bit more uniform than the assortment of equipment stands I did have.

#1 work pet peeve is people who make more work for other people, I'd rather they not work there it just makes my life more difficult.

Found this guy on Craigslist selling 2 telecasters so I went to check them out. Get there and it's an older dude probably about 80. He's selling them because he had a stroke and he cant play much anymore. He tells me he's a blues guy and likes to play the harmonica. while I'm playing the guitar he says do you know any blues so I play a little bit I know and he whips out his harmonica and starts getting down. No idea where he pulled this out from but it was awesome. Planned on being there for 5 - 10 mins, left after 30 mins

I finished the cabinet I was working on. Cost under $200 and should hold about 700 albums or so. I'm just really proud of the top. Too bad you can't see too much of it. Next step is getting a separate amp for the record set up. Feels good to design and build it myself instead of going to IKEA or paying an arm and a leg for a piece of furniture. It's a nice median between the two.

It feels good to be done.

 

Try seeing them live in a tiny venue. One of the best shows you'll ever see.

So while the rest of the day sucked, this arrived today and I screamed like the lady I am. Holy fuck.
 

My LGBTQ friends are terrified for their rights and their safety. My female friends are terrified about their continued access to birth control and reproductive health care. They're terrified about what electing a rapist bully to the highest office in the country means for their safety and well being. If you don't think that normalizes misogynist/rapist behavior in a lot of dudes's heads, you're wrong.
