  1. Mumps was alright, I preferred the Sod in the Seed EP that came right before, but still a definite step down from Eskimo Snow. Pre-ordered anyway, also hopeful.
  2. 312, if I'm checking correctly. Debating on canceling my Amazon order, although it may be limited too so maybe I'll wait and see.
  3. Yeah I was disappointed in the 192kbps download from my retail copy. I don't remember A Weird Exits being 192...maybe I downloaded a better copy.
  4. I just purchased an MOV copy on Discogs - miGht as well snag it for $18 instead of waiting for a potentially inferior issue to come out. Reason I never picked this up locally is they're selling for $39-50 and I always assumed it was out of print. Just 2 days ago I checked one shop and they had it for $39. Another one has it for $50, and an original for $75 or something. Also wanted to report back on my 1972 copy of From the Lions Mouth - I played it in full Wednesday and it sounded really good, as I remembered. No complaints.
  5. Yeah I checked Discogs after posting yesterday and was surprised there's a new repress with the MOV still being available for a good price. Seems like a safer bet, we already know that sounds good. I'll have to re-listen to my copy of From the Lions Mouth.
  6. Thanks for the tip - this is the only one missing from my LP collection, save for Ultimate Alternative Wavers which isn't required for me. I have a pressing of The Sound's From the Lions Mouth pressed by 1972 and it sounds really great. I had nothing to compare it to though. Here's the Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Ancient-Melodies-Future-BUILT-SPILL/dp/B01KQCYQEM
  7. I saw my first OG copy of Soup in the wild today. $350...10 cents more expensive than the most expensive of 3 currently on Discogs. None of those are in the US though. But who gives a shit?! $23 reissue yeah!!!
  8. Had to look him up. Looks like he's one of the drummers - what does that mean for the live shows?! I loved the two drummer set-up when I saw them last fall. The whole band was so tight. PS I found a copy of An Odd Entrances in the wild today. Yay! I figured I didn't have any luck with the color variants I probably won't have any luck if there's another variant later. And if I do, I can always sell this one. Also I'll check at the show next Friday.
  9. I'm pretty calm right now. I like humor, too, I just didn't see any so I responded matter-of-factly. Sorry if that upset you.
  10. Yes, it's irrelevant to my comments on the quality of the artwork. Try reading the entire post.
  11. According to my Amazon pre-order, this has been delayed till January 27.
  12. No because that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I see the point you're trying to make, but it's irrelevant.
  13. Well I found out for myself. A local shop had the CD on the shelves, so I inquired about the LP since I didn't see it anywhere. They have it, but it's not released until November 25. Super lame on the label's part.
  14. I mentioned concerns about the quality of the cover art on the latest standard reissue. Turns out, my concerns were valid. On a recent trip to the record store I was able to compare the latest standard reissue with a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab reissue on blue vinyl - the difference in the cover art is huge - with the MFS being of higher quality and what I remember my 1994 CD cover looking like. The standard reissue (left) is pixelated and much darker - photo and background. (edit) In this photo it looks like the MFS background is darker though, but in reality the standard (left) is a bit more turquoise and the MFS is more of a true cyan. I was focusing more on the difference in face/clothing quality and color when I snapped it.
  15. I don't disagree, 40-50 minutes is the sweet spot for me. But it also depends on the style of music. For instance I don't often want a 50 minute punk album, but don't mind a 60 minute electronic album. Even within genre categories, it depends on other factors like how good the music is.
  16. Just streaming this, in an effort to see if it's worth $40 from the UK for an orange one. Really chill, so instrumental. I really liked what I think is "At the End, On the Stairs", the vocal and more upbeat track. Rest is really nice too but less immediately fulfilling.
  17. Well goddamn. Inventory said 0 when I last checked a little over an hour ago, but I guess the carting nonsense was in effect.
  18. Thanks. I thought maybe it was an LP or something which would be AMAZING. This is probably cool too, I just don't buy 7"s.
  19. Oh god dammit - I've been checking the site daily for a pre-order and I'm here too late. Also what's this Ty split you guys are talking about? Link please.
