  1. This news just made my day. War On Errorism has some pretty terrible songs and it's my least favorite since White Trash. Wolves was surprisingly good and I loved just about every song on it. This new one has a terrible title and cover, but that didn't stop SLATFATS from being fuckin great. Can't wait for this. New Propagandhi AND Nofx this year? And Riverdales??
  2. I bet that Bouncing Souls one sounds great on vinyl too...I can imagine cranking "Gone"
  3. I think TGA does Springsteen better than Springsteen does. Plus, at least they don't have that horrible adult contemporary saxophone solos in their songs. Yet.
  4. First band I thought when I read the thread title was also Jawbreaker. It does sound stupid to try and force yourself to like a band, but I knew/know how important they are/were to many people. I tried everything from obscure(Whack and Blight) to the mighty "Dear You" and I just couldn't do it. I know there's people who will never get why The Velvet Underground is great, but I love them and I think it's just how an artist grabs you on a personal level. Fugazi is great, but Minor Threat took me a while, now I love it. I don't get At The Drive In, Mars Volta, or Sparta and I have given all of them a fair chance. Gaslight Anthem was called a "bad Bruce Springsteen", but here's the thing...Bruce Springsteen sucks to begin with. I tried people, I tried. I got his essential 3 disc set and I couldn't get through one song. Funny though, his song "Girls In Their Summer Clothes" is one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life and it's off of one his newer albums "Magic". The rest blows.
  5. You may think it's a bust, but I've seen covers just like this in my many years of searching through bins...and the sad part is, the bands actually chose those covers!
  6. Don't forget Headline as mentioned by Impact, it's very close to Amoeba and they have a very good selection for a small store.
  7. I don't think he's looking for record players, just records.
  8. Tropic Thunder: Took two trys to get through it, but glad I did, the second half really improved. Slumdog Millionare: Great movie all around. Editing, music, story.
  9. There's not really much near Agoura Hills. Your best bet would be to go over the hill a few miles and hit Amoeba Hollywood. It would probably take about a half hour depending on time of day/traffic. You'd take the 101 freeway south from Agoura and exit Sunset. 6400 Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90018
  10. Local H. "Whatever Happened To P.J. Soles" NOFX "Punk In Drublic" Weezer "Pinkerton" Guns N' Roses "Appetite For Destruction" Melvins "Stoner Witch" Fugazi "Steady Diet Of Nothing"
  11. Yes, sadly I missed Blaze and Live in a Dive. They sold out too quick for me. I love Trashed, got it when it (originally)came out and was stoked on all the new colors. I collect many different bands and genres and my collections have gaps here and there, but who gives a shit? Some stuff gets sold or traded or lost over the years(I'm over 30). I'll just keep trying to add to my collection(which is over 1,500)and along the way I'll hopefully end up with 40 different variants of Trashed!
