  1. Eh, whatever. As someone who enjoys electronic music I personally think this album is fantastic. It's very reminiscent of something Anamanaguchi would put out and I love that. If it didn't have the whole aspect of "Lil BUB" attached to it, whoever wrote that article wouldn't find it "unnecessary" at all.
  2. I will continue to blow my paycheck on records every week and feel awful about it until I get paid and buy more records again.
  3. ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ

  8. Oooh I'm really liking this too... you guys are getting me into trouble, I've already spent like $50 today on records because of this thread and I still haven't checked out all of the suggestions yet lmao Gonna have to add a bunch of these to my "want" list

  10. I was actually aware of Slow Magic already, I'm a big fan of the song he did with Giraffage! I did not know he had album(s) out though, let alone on vinyl. GoHastings had (I got the last one! under $15 total!) this one really cheap and I also found Giraffage's EP for just a couple bucks too, so I picked them both up Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
  11. I've probably went a bit overboard recently... but I will say, some of these aren't ones I purchased but records that were purchased for me as Christmas gifts. 12. Holy shit, this is what I was looking for and I just happen to be drinking a can of Pepsi while listening to it. This is wonderful, thank you! I listened to a couple tracks, but then I heard Fiona Coyne and I was instantly hooked, I don't think I've ever purchased a record so quickly after only just hearing an artist for the first time. I ordered the deluxe LP on gold vinyl though! EDIT: I ALSO JUST FOUND OUT I'M PROBABLY SEEING HIM THIS FEBRUARY WHEN HE OPENS FOR MADEON AND NOW I'M SUPER EXCITED!
  13. I absolutely will, thanks for the suggestion! Honestly, as great as the other artists I listed are, I'm mainly looking for something that gives me the feeling "Worlds" does which seems like a pretty difficult task. If you've yet to listen to Porter, I highly suggest watching this music video! Maybe that'll help with suggestions too EDIT: "Wild Things" is absolutely fantastic, really excited for the rest of the album!
  14. I'm in serious need of some new music to listen to, specifically electronic/synth pop/etc. I should note that my favorite album of all time is "Worlds" by Porter Robinson and I also enjoy both of CHVRCHES albums, Madeon's newest album, MGMT's first album, Purity Ring's newest album, M83's "Hold On We're Dreaming" (which I'm currently listening to for the first time) and Daft Punk's "Discovery". Feel free to click the "record collection" link in my signature to see what other albums I enjoy. I've heard Odesza, Tycho and Passion Pit are good artists to start with? And because this is VC, I prefer suggestions of albums that are available on vinyl (although it's obviously not a requirement). Thanks in advanced!
  15. Don't get me wrong I adore ADTR and this album, but, just because an idea is unique doesn't make it a good idea. Pass.
  16. Does anybody have a copy of this laying around they want to get rid of? It's my "white whale record" but Ebay prices are just a bit too high at the moment.
  17. Props on that CHVRCHES record! I saw them recently too and picked it up along with their first record "The Bones Of What You Believe" for like $10 on GoHastings, I'd definitely suggest it if you're enjoying "Every Open Eye".
  18. I was so excited for that Fallout 3 box set until I realized how much of a cash grab it really was. Apparently it's full of errors on the packaging AND the "You're S.P.E.C.I.A.L." book is missing an entire page.
  19. Not yet, but after a couple days I did receive confirmation that it shipped.
  20. Dude you're username... A+++ You're lucky you got to see the Worlds show in a bigger setting and also you got to see him drop his remix of "The Thrill" by Nero (since Coachella was the first time he played it I believe). Glad you enjoyed the show!
  21. Dude, HOLY SHIT, you're Gears? I'm not even kidding when I say that's been one of my favorite remixes of any Porter song for a long time now. I'm having a fanboy moment right now, please excuse me. But seriously, as far as your summary of the show itself, I couldn't agree more. Part of me feels like I kind of missed out hiding behind a camera all night instead of REALLY taking it all in, but it's probably the priding moment of my life so far that I can say "Hey, I did photos for Porter Robinson". It's just so surreal that I was even there, let alone there taking photos. What a small world we live in! And your tradelist is amazing too, you listen to a lot of the same (non electronic, more pop punk/melodic hardcore) bands I do!
