  1. I actually didn't buy the bundle now that I think about it, it was cheaper to just buy The Upsides and Suburbia separately for some reason (kinda defeats the purpose of the bundle no?). Also at the time I ordered there was a discount code going around, so I got both records + A comp for mom for like $33 shipped if I remember correctly. I actually emailed MerchNow about canceling the order but they told me to email Chris, which I didn't care to do, so I told them nevermind. For the price I paid for all 3 records I'd be lucky if I found just a copy of Suburbia, so fuck it I can wait a little longer.
  2. Brilliant About time! I just hope we all receive any records we ordered with it though. I bought the bundle with Suburbia and a copy of A Comp For Mom too
  3. You're absolutely right, doesn't make it any less of a shame though.
  4. $90 seems a bit steep... you definitely didn't pay that much for it and flipping is pretty lame.
  5. I was just telling someone earlier today that I feel like a lot of the mainstays of the genre, that are responsible for introducing a lot of people (including myself) to pop punk and the music pop punk often gateways to, are breaking up or going on "hiatus". Man Overboard went on a "hiatus" a little while ago, A Loss For Words broke up and played their last show, a couple years ago we lost City Lights AND The Swellers (who were both very under-rated and that is almost definitely what led to their breakup, at least in the case of The Swellers) and now Transit. Who's next?
  6. I think when taking into consideration a lot of the original character's plot armors (especially if you've read the comic and know what they're setting up for later down the road, I won't ruin it for anyone) there are really only a small handful of characters it CAN be. Glenn - For the story Daryl - For the shock Morgan - Meh... not at all worthy in my opinion but a lot of people seem to think it could be him But then again I could be entirely wrong. I guess we'll see what happens!
  7. I agree with the first part but not the last. I definitely think they're setting up some sort of traumatic experience for Abraham whether that's the death of him, Rosita or Sasha. I don't think he'll get his comic death though considering Kirkman has made it clear he very much resents that one (although the show is the show and Gimple is in control) and I don't think he's necessarily worthy of the "big one" that'll come with Negan's first appearance. That death must go to one of the biggest characters in the show, which (at least in my opinion) brings it back down to Glenn or Daryl. I'm hoping for Daryl.
  8. "A letter to all who have shed blood, sweat, and tears with us over the last decade: After ten years of writing, recording, and living on the road, it is time for us to close this current chapter on Transit, as we have decided to direct our energy into other aspects of our lives. Since 2006 we’ve been given the incredible opportunity of sharing our music with the world, performing in over 14 different countries, and circling our own countless times. Through all the ups and downs we have witnessed a side of humanity so caring and sincere that we now see the world in a vivid and magnificent light. As for us as individuals, we will always love each other and the records we wrote together. We love all of you for lending an ear and losing your voices with us. We will always be able to say that we had the best fans a band could possibly ask for. When we think about the road we’ll see all the faces and friends fly by in one big warm blur. Your stories and kind words helped push us along more than you may ever know. April 21st to April 26th we will be performing an array of mixed songs from over the years at our final shows as a band. We have chosen some of our favorite intimate clubs to put this to rest at. We never expected a few basement show to turn into ten years of traveling the world, playing the songs we love. For that we will always be forever grateful. We love you all and thank you. Nothing lasts forever. Goodbye. Daniel, Joseph, Brandon, PJ, Torre -Transit" The band also announced a string of final shows in New England
  9. My AKG's just came in and they sound wonderful. Very pleased!
  10. Kinda wish this was a little bit cheaper, glad to see it's finally getting the vinyl treatment though!
  11. Just woke up after a 12 hour post-work nap, now sitting on VC with a plate full of steak (Worcestershire sauce and black pepper obviously) listening to Troye Sivan. Life is gewd. Also my mother and I went out to lunch for my birthday yesterday to this local spot called Osaka, it's my absolute favorite.
  12. Got mine today as well! Thanks a lot for making my first VC buying experience so pleasant.
  13. Pardon the Crosley and potato quality cell phone photo, but I'd say my first buying experience on VC was a success! Modern Baseball "Sports" (Fifth Pressing /500 Yellow)
  14. How much I spend won't matter if I don't know exactly what I'm buying and end up with a setup that sounds like trash though which is exactly why I consult you guys here before I do anything, so thanks for all of the help! I'm going to spend more time researching integrated amp options but as far as the speakers, I've been eyeing those Audio Engine P4's and the Wharfedale Diamonds for a while. I bought my AKG Q701's second hand so if the price is right (which it was) and it's in acceptable condition (which these more than are), I don't mind it at all! That's more than likely what I'll end up doing when for most of the setup. Also, unrelated but props on your signature gif. Daisy Ridley is a goddess.
  15. I'm actually not sure, I'll look into that! Exactly what I'm afraid of, I want to get the gist of how it all works before I go dropping stacks on stuff that won't sound good or just isn't necessary. At the same time though, I want to do it right the first time around so I'm open to spending a little bit more over time to do that (but within reason of course). Again I apologize for being so uninformed but I really appreciate all of you guys helping!
  16. I'm looking to keep the grand total under $1500, just as I'm sure you've all seen by now I don't know the technical side of things to be confidently making these purchases because with my luck I'd put together a setup that either A. doesn't work or B. isn't living to it's full potential.
  17. You and one other person have but neither of you gave any explanation why, I've heard nothing but good things about it otherwise. If it's not going to effectively pair up with an amp and passive speakers though, I'm not going to go with it and be missing out on anything. So it's not a matter of the stereo system as I thought it was, it's just a matter of what kind of turntable will be most effective with an integrated amp and passive speakers?
  18. I was actually considering the Pro-Ject Carbon or U-Turn orbit before the Denon, maybe it's time to think again. As for the speakers, I can get a pair of Audio Engine P4's bundled with the Marantz PM5005 so I was leaning towards that.
  19. So, a little bit of backstory. This morning I made the first of many steps towards my first "proper" setup, I'm currently stuck with a Crosley and I'm trying to fully upgrade as soon as I can. My first purchase was a pair of AKG Q701 headphones. The setup I originally intended on was: Denon DP-300F (2M Blue) > preamp (never decided on a model) > Audio Engine A5+'s / Headphones I've come to the realization that with the inclusion of my new headphones I'll also need to purchase an amp and this is where things are starting to confuse me. The Denon DP-300F has it's own built in phono preamp and so do most of the integrated amplifiers I've come across (the one that has caught my interest is the Marantz PM5005, to be specific). Is this going to be an issue for me? Will the two built in phono preamps clash with each other and if so is there an amplifier anybody can suggest that would serve me better in my situation? Also, should I still consider buying an external preamp for better sound quality? Outside of my (useless) knowledge of my Crosley, the technical side of "the hobby" is still new to me so I apologize if these questions are kind of basic. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you in advance!
  20. Damn... so we probably won't have it in our hands until early/mid March. Thanks!
  21. haha damn, sorry! Why are you selling yours though, if you don't mind me asking? Did you just upgrade or were you not impressed with them?
  22. Just found a very lightly used, like new pair of AKG Q701's (Green/Black) on Ebay for only $145 with free shipping so I snatched them up.
  23. So... it's about that time. Has anybody actually heard anything new about this yet?
