Not bad at all, Weezer. Maybe EWBAITE truly is a turning point in their 2000s mediocrity?

MoFi brush thing works great for me. It's usually around $18-25. -
PO NOW: Dr Dog - The Psychedelic Swamp

Mine shipped. Also, I got refunded $7 from my original price ($19.99) thanks to that price-drop service Paribus. I'm pretty sure that Paribus incorrectly made a claim with Amazon against the CD price ($12.99) but Amazon just accepted it for some reason. Either way, worked out pretty well. -

I learned my lesson about pre-ordering a PQ album without hearing it first with Monastic Living. -
I saw WeeZer at a smaller-ish venue in Downtown LA on their last tour.

PO NOW: Dr Dog - The Psychedelic Swamp

It sounds like Dr. Dog covering an unreleased Grandaddy record, which I like, but it does feel like a concept release rather than a proper studio album. Better than another B-Room. A part of me is still hoping that Dr. Dog put together at least one more straightforward album like Fate/Shame Shame before they hang it up though. Or for McMicken to release a new solo album of folk and rock songs. -

Thanks for the update. I pre-ordered it at $23 and the lower price hasn't shown up on my order yet. I wouldn't have known without your help. -
This one is dedicated on ONTRAC, the world's best delivery service. Instead of wondering what was inside my package, like I do with most deliveries, OnTrac provided me with a neat preview hole in the center of the box. As soon as I lifted the record, I could feel all the great classic Nirvana tracks swooshing around inside. The store listing said 5 pieces were included but I got 7. That's TWO extra pieces of record for free. I will have to assume that OnTrac negotiated these additional bonus shards for me, as a way of saying thanks for using their service for my record shopping. Yeah. I framed the record instead of listening to it. I have Spotify if I want to hear Pennyroyal Tea on the acoustic guitar. To me, vinyl is physical art and, thanks to OnTrac, I am able to hang my art proudly in all it's compartmentalized glory.

I had the famous splatter versions of Dude Ranch and Enema but I barely listened to them, so I sold them for a good return about a year ago. I learned that Blink 182 are more of a fuzzy comforting reminder of middle school for me and I already have Spotify for when I need to hear Apple Shampoo once every 8 months.

It's a curated, niche video rental shop. Here is a promo video from their website: -

Yesterday, I was browsing the small record section at the video rental store on my street and noticed they were selling The Next Day 2LP for $43.99. In a way, it felt even more tasteless and exploitative to mark up an easily available record like that than to mark up an out of print or limited release. A buyer would have to be very uninformed in order to pay $44 for that record, so it felt like they were directly making money off the customer's ignorance. They also had a used copy of REM's Reckoning on their wall for $40 ("original 1984 US pressing") which was identical to the copy I bought for $10 on Discogs a week or two ago. If they ever got a copy of New Adventures in Hi-Fi in, they might just price it at $450. -
The sound production on Maladroit feels cohesive to me. They all seem from that time period and the singles don't feel like they were plucked from a completely different album. On their last record, every song has a different feel and concept for the most part which is why I would call Maladroit cohesive in comparison.

The last Weezer record was a lot of fun. I saw their subsequent tour where they played the album from beginning to end and it was my favorite show of the last few years. They might never make another record that sounds like one cohesive album like Pinkerton or Maladroit again but they've proven they can make a fun, scattered album with crunchy guitars if they put the extra effort in.

If the packages are marked delivered and you don't see them, someone probably took them. Using priority shipping won't solve the issue of packages left at your doorstep being taken by another party. Only signature required delivery or having a neighbor collect your doorstep deliveries will help to stop that. If you ever want to become paranoid, get a package stolen and then talk to an honest and frank USPS employee about how common it is in your city and what methods the thieves use. I was told to never use their public mail boxes because they are pilfered often and they can't do anything about it.

I've successfully sold about 40-50 records on Discogs and I've had about 4-5 people who didn't pay mixed in there. It's annoying but after 4 days you can cancel the order and re-list. Usually, the busier you are the less you worry about non-paying buyers. For the last few cases I got an order, noticed they didn't pay that day, then I blinked/was busy at work, and canceled as NPB at the end of the week. One method I've tried on about half a dozen orders who were slow to pay is to resend the invoice then leave a nice message thanking them for their order, letting them know you've sent over the invoice, and offering to answer any questions they might have before checking out. I have gotten payment same or next day each time I tried that.

SCAMMER AMONGST US AKA HOMEWORK

Sounds like he's buying more time by shifting his money into different formats (PayPal, money order, etc) and sending them out using varied methods. -

It'd be very interesting to hear what debt or bills the seller was collecting all this quick PayPal money for. Being lax on updating your inventory and getting duplicate orders is one thing but messaging people who are posting want threads is on another level. -
That's the only seller who still has it for $12 shipped but maybe the person you bought it from only had one copy. Either way, I'd be interested in seeing your copy when it comes if you don't mind sharing. I appreciate the heads up. Do you know where I can get a copy of any of the other Stereo records for an awesome price like this one?
