  1. I bought one of the MKs about a year or so ago, before he started including those adapters, and it works OK for me. Records are much cleaner after a spin and I don't notice much scuffing or problems with the velcro material that touches the record. Main downside for me is the noise of the shop vac I use. I live in an apartment with thin walls, so I can only clean records during the daytime which, since I have a full-time job, means I can only clean during the weekends. In a pinch, if it's at night, I'll clean a record by hand and just use the platter as a surface.
  2. Wow. I didn't know that people returning records with corner dings was one of the main causes for record prices reaching up toward $30 an LP. Can someone who runs a label confirm this?
  3. Thry should be paying you $10 to take 25 of those off their hands.
  4. Move to Japan. My girlfriend's employer exports airplane parts and chemicals to their ministry of defense and they always ask for returns on superficial damage like tiny dents in cans and torn product labels.
  5. Actually, as seen above, they do have links you can copy and paste. I thought it was just via their email widget. My $10 credit link is http://fbuy.me/dGfOp.
  6. I believe that you'll need to give a VMP member your email and then they'll have to use a VMP referral widget to send you a link. I can do that for you if you'd like to PM me your email address.
  7. I've been to Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Brewers, and Reds stadiums and all are great. Dodgers is the most no-frills though. It's just a classic field with some food stands and a few retro-fitted add-on attractions/areas.
  8. If it's marked as delivered, you're safe. And yes. Sometimes, eBay and PayPal will refund a buyer on your behalf if you're a long-time member in good standing.
  9. I saw him open for Why (I think it was Why) a few years ago and he asked the crowd to give him two suggestions for an improvised rap. The suggestions ended up being "Scooby Doo" and "disappointing your dad".
  10. Cueto will win you over soon enough. He isn't THE BEST pitcher but he's really really good and, if healthy, will have a low ERA and decent Ks.
  11. If you want them, get them. It's fun organizing your collection and setting up your storage and there is no shame in enjoying your records.
  12. It's perpetually "coming soon". Eventually they'll do it.
  13. Thanks again for the suggestions and comments. I was able to find a copy on eBay for $80 BuyItNow, which is steep but about $20-$50 cheaper than the last 6-7 copies that have sold there and on Discogs over the last 2-3 months.
  14. A few of the LPs in my original Cake box set had this issue. I found that increasing the tracking force/weight helped but that swinging motion of the stylus creeped me out enough that I had to ask for a replacement. 2nd box set I received played fine. Quality control, man.
  15. Can they take off the Y and add an UP? Cause then I'd be moshing for this.
  16. One of the articles I read (Brooklyn Vegan?) said that the second track would be made available soon. There is an old Facebook homemade video of him covering the song on the acoustic but I wasn't a fan of it. Hoping this version might have some cool arrangements or music and not just be acoustic and voice.
  17. I'm a huge REM fan but I want to hear Kevin's cover before I buy. I hope it's as good as the Lacey cover.
  18. I want to know what a dark Weezer record sounds like, especially if they consider TGFG and Do You Wanna Get High as "summer beach music".
  19. Don't let these yahoos get to you ChadTodd. You have a solid collection on your hands that is worth at least $800, IMO. More if they all have their original jackets.
  20. Welcome to VC, kaomoji. In the future, if someone craps on a post you make, just don't respond.
  21. The last few packages I've gotten have had holes of various depth plunged into them (see my previous posts for the granddaddy of holes). Last time, it wasn't as bad but it warped the record. Two times before that there was no damage to the record- just a slightly indented mailer surface.
  22. Maybe when you asked if he/she would do pick up, they immediately fantasized about a scenario where you paid the full total included shipping and the shipping fee became pure profit for them. Some of us, when re-introduced to reality, are better at letting go of our insane fantasies than others.
  23. Looking to grab a copy of this record outside of eBay/Discogs. PM me if you have a VG+ or better copy and are interested in selling. Thanks.
  24. I bought one record from that eBay user and it arrived dented and floating around loosely in a flimsy mailer with no padding. I don't really care about dings or jacket condition but the packaging still made me shake my head a little bit.
