  1. I'm all in for a record that doesn't sound like it was recorded using $20 software on an Acer laptop. King of Limbs has its moments but it's cold and flat. This single feels like an actual living song that should be on a real life Radiohead album.
  2. Paying for tracking will protect you from having a buyer make a claim of non-delivery after the package has been confirmed as delivered. However, the buyer can still open a claim for a damaged or not-as-described record and you will need to refund the buyer out of your own pocket (minus any built-in insurance that is included with international priority). Unfortunately, there is no cheap way to ship a record overseas from the US. Either you or the buyer need to pony up for the cost of registered shipping and insurance.
  3. The contrast is really poor. No real excuse for using bright neon green on white. If you want to match your logo's colors, you can cheat and use a darker version of the green and it will achieve the same sense of unity. Or use a neutral complimentary color like dark grey. Also, on mobile, the LP/speech bubble on the new logo at top looks A LOT like an alert bubble with a zero in it. I clicked on it twice thinking it was some alert that needed to be cleared.
  4. With all those extra free records, you are gonna need to call IKEA and complain about the scratch on your Expedit.
  5. Do you guys think they'll release a cool prmp or spkrs to go with the new trntbl?
  6. They're debuting a turntable called trntbl.
  7. I think RSD stock is non-refundable for stores so they may have sent this out hoping the buyer would accept it, instead of them automatically deciding it won't sell or that it should be marked down. That's enough jacket damage to warrant you asking for a partial refund or a replacement.
  8. I wouldn't forgo a scale until you have some experience estimating weight. Double albums with thick packaging and some LP mailers can throw you for a loop sometimes.
  9. A bad local post office can sour your entire view of the USPS but there are some awesome offices out there. My closest office is terrible, makes up weird rules that aren't USPS policy, and they openly argue with each other in front of customers and the office in the next town over from me is always super friendly, quick, and glad to provide advice and make sure you are taken care of.
  10. Call USPS general customer support and open a claim with the person on the phone and describe your experience with trying to pick up the package. The person on the phone won't work for the post office branch you're having issues with so they won't be defensive and stonewall you. I'll bet good money that you will either get a phone call from the post office manager assuring you they'll deliver your package ASAP or you'll find your package miraculously delivered at the front desk within 2-3 days.
  11. Do you want us to go to his house and beat him up or something? Why post his home address on VC instead of filing a Discogs support request, reporting him to their staff and letting them handle it in an appropriate manner?
  12. I ordered 4-5 records from that crazy sale they had two weeks ago and they arrived with no damage. Sorry to see you got some bad luck with these.
  13. A store/dealer just added like 8 copies for $39.95 and our friend Halo2 dropped his price to $37 to get the first spot. If those $39 copies sit there long enough, some of the other sellers will surely get nervous and drop their price to undercut that dealer. Another thing to consider about Discogs sellers (who aren't labels or dealers) is that this cost $30 brand new, so after PayPal and Discogs fees, they aren't making any profit selling for $37-40. So, if you want it, I'd pull the trigger on a $35-40 copy as it won't get much lower unless people start choosing to lose money.
  14. When you have a once in a lifetime piece of rock memorabilia, you have to pay extra to make sure it's delivered safely (via uninsured, non-tracked Canada Post).
  15. Yep. Their new sale price is $14.99 instead of $9.99. Only old sale items that have been there for over a year were $9.99.
  16. This is a great release for people who started collecting in the last 6 months, haven't felt compelled to splurge on a $30 MoFi pressing, and yet are excited to splurge $27 on a colored vinyl pressing.
  17. FYI, 5+ copies of Pinback - Blue Screen Life here at Amoeba in Hollywood for $30.
  18. As is mentioned above, CCmusic/importcds is selling some items for super cheap again. True Detective Soundtrack for around $10 shipped https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/7781677
  19. I use Albertsons bags for my records. Fuck Ralph and his bourgeoise bags.
  20. Getting this for $23 on Saturday and also seeing that another color pressing is going out for others who missed the boat is the best of both worlds.
