April 3rd we release Reel / Pale skin 7” through @holyroarrecords.
One time pressing limited to 1000 copies.With this 7”, we wanted to give something back and have chosen to donate part of the proceeds to a few local charities that support the less fortunate and their fight against poverty.
Preorders start on March 16th!We headed into the studio, in between our tours with pelican and soft kill, recording ‘Reel’ and ‘Pale Skin’. The lyrics on both tracks share the pain of withdrawal, the trials and tribulations we face when coming to terms with the need for change in order to step away from addictions, habits or behaviours that cause us harm. Whether it be something as plainly, blatantly obvious as the need to recover from alcohol or substance abuse, or a habit that appears so socially accepted that you may not even realise it is taking control and limiting your potential, such as addiction to social media, a problematic relationship with food or always wanting to please people and putting your own (mental) health in second place. It’s easy to take for granted but everyone is going through something in their lives that can make them feel unhappy and it may be harder to admit you need help for the smaller stuff. What I think I’m trying to say is, be kind to yourself and look out for one another.

also received an email about gatefold jackets that are being send out to people separately, but I ordered the Spotify fan picture disc. But I am happy if I can put it in a gatefold instead of the pvc sleeve

Well. I ordered two Heather Nova records from them as they handle her merch. Order was on 12/17/19. It shipped shortly after by maybe a few days & the DHL tracking has been at a standstill as of 12/28/19. I’ve emailed them multiple times & no response. Their Twitter account is essentially inactive. And messaged on FB and no response.
I gotta check to see if I paid with PayPal and do a dispute then.
Ugh.
I think Redfield Records also use merchcowboy and I never have had any issues with them.
But also no transatlantic mailings with them

post offices and sorting centres basically stop functioning properly for 2/3 weeks in Europe. Especially at the end of December. Today is the last of the 'holidays' so everything will start moving again soon

I mean, it was out by the front door (which is under a roof) when I got home, but since it was still soaking wet, it had to have been someplace else for quite some time. Still, first time this has happened in roughly 15 years of buying records, so not a bad statistic, but man, it takes some balls to drop a package like that off thinking " should be fine"
good statistics. Yeah never had any problems with packaging by Dodax. And even if you have problems, they immediately sent a replacement
