  1. Agreed. Once you realize that this is just trying to be network tv sitcom (albeit, not on a network) and hit some of the network tv sitcom clichés, then I guess you can find an appreciation for it. The show isn't trying to be some "peak era tv" comedy. It builds off its ridiculousness. I honestly didn't have any sort of expectations whatsoever for the show so I was pleasantly surprised.
  2. Its a quick watch and just when you think the joke is about to become stale, they throw in something fresh. The final episode had me cracking up.
  3. Anybody else watch Santa Clarita Diet? I put it on just to have something playing in the background while working and ended up not getting anything done. Binged the entire season in one sitting. So much funnier than I expected. I don't think I've ever liked Drew Barrymore more than this.
  4. That's a good assumption considering all other variant types are sold out.
  5. Good news is Carpark responded to my email and had a replacement ready within 30 minutes. Top notch customer service.
  6. Got my copy today from Carpark and it's beat to hell. All 4 corners are bent (not dinged). And there's a 3 in split in the top middle of the jacket and printed inner sleeve. Oh yeah, the record has about a half inch crack. Was preparing for the worst when I saw a squashed package outside of my door.
  7. Why does everyone keep comparing records to cars? That argument makes less sense than people being upset over corner dings.
  8. Love it or hate it, best thing about RSD is that it helps my local store make enough to pay their rent for a few months ensuring I have a place to pick up new releases every weekend. And if there is actually a release that I want, I just pick it up of discogs a month later.
  9. Just got my shipping confirmation for the Sumerian Records exclusive. For anyone holding out, new listings for 2 new variants have popped up on Amazon at $25 each. Updated the OP.
  10. Not a die hard fan either but I've always thought this album was fantastic (2nd album doesn't get a ton of love from me.) The Iceland version is cool to have since it's a different recording from what Universal Republic released. I bought a color copy back when came out over 4 years ago so I can't recall what I was charged for shipping. I've spun the Iceland version more than the UR version though but that's mainly because I like how different it sounds when I'm used the UR.
  11. And this one also isn't very expensive to start. Shipping is what it is. The fact that it costs a lot of money to ship to another country isn't news. I say good on the company for listening to the fans pleas and doing another press that doesn't affect the rareness of the original AND providing it for a more than reasonable price. Clearly there was a big demand for this but I guess you can't please everyone.
  12. Interesting that the shipping costs are a deal breaker for some. Especially considering originals are going for $250+.
  13. I guess that means it is a double? The price is pretty low if it is.
  14. The Icelandic edition of the album is getting a reissue. Pressed on black. Doesn't include a ton of info, but I guess you can assume it's the original recordings as it has the tracklisting for the Iceland edition. http://recordrecords.com/product/of-monsters-and-men-my-head-is-an-animal/
  15. I'm pretty sure they're talking about the vinyl tracklisting. It differs from the official tracklisting as Above the Bridge and She Speaks the Language are swapped in order to fit all the tracks on the vinyl.
  16. Dude that sucks. I remember buying it early 2015 and by fall 2015 getting these confusing messages on discogs from people offering $100 for it. I had no idea it jumped in value so quickly. And it's doubled since. Also, I want to see a pressing of the Indigo Puff/Hustle single. Those were the songs that introduced me to SK and both still stand as my favorites.
  17. I gave in to the import prices since it doesn't seem to be getting a US release. $30+ on Amazon for a new, single LP was bit high but it was worth it. Agreed, these guys are going to be huge.
  18. That's awesome. I had no idea that they ever played a US date. Although most of the tracks have been released over the past 2 years, the new stuff is really exciting. Happy Family is a stand out. If there isn't more than one variant, then I can say I have a complete SK collection. I remember when EP1 was only $12. Crazy it goes for ~$200 now. Glad I picked that up early on.
  19. Any other fans on here? If you're not a fan yet, their debut album came out last week and is fantastic. I had a question that maybe someone here knows the answer to... Is there only 1 variant (clear)? I'm wondering if there's a standard black.
  20. TBH these are probably the prices you'll end up paying for this so I'm not sure you'll be able to find much of a deal. Maybe message the sellers and see what they're willing to sell for. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/5080594?ev=rb
