so you guys are just ordering from your local stores? kinda defeats the purpose of it being record store day on black friday and waking up early and driving a half hour to try and score some of these. didn't know i could show up tomorrow and all the records i wanted were already sold over the phone...

the new teenage bottlerocket and dinosaur jr. are both really cool. i'm pretty sure those are the only 2012 albums ive listened to yet.

yeah, i'm 22. still live at home, have limited bills. more than half of my bills are from school loans when i tried that shit out! i'm just gonna never have it that my bills are more than i'd be making unemployed, and i could easily live off of $1,920 a month...plus my girl/future wife takes home another 1,200 a month, so i doubt we'd ever be hurting for money...

yeah the work right now has been in a low point for the last couple of years obviously, but there's still work out there. i've been pretty steady with one company for the last 2.5 years, so i guess if you work well you'll almost always have work. my father is a union carpenter and has worked the past 24 years without a layoff. then again, you see guys that are working 2 weeks for this company, a month off, 3 weeks here, 2 weeks off, etc... but it kinda feels like being layed off is just part of the business. and for me, sitting home on my ass all week and getting a check for 480 bucks in the mail ain't too bad of a deal either...

why did i pay all that money to go see them in new york, fuck!

I only have one friend who made it through the first four years of college, with about 5 more who dropped out, me being one of them. I'm a union laborer, and I make 27.80/hr. which turns into ~55k/year, while she has a bachelors in journalism and just got a job making ~20-25k/year, and she has about 50k in school loan debt... Maybe i'll go to school one day, but why go to make less money?

i guess you just get more out of that than me, which is good for you. you can't say some of that is influenced by the fact that you like the band though. i could never get into them, despite having them recommended to me on multiple occasions...

you really "love" a triangle. its all it really is, is dark side without the prism effect. sorry there's a little mirror effect going on, but mirrors weren't around til the mid 1980's so i can see why the cover of dark side didn't have it. so there's no rainbow, so they're saying they dig floyd, but they're homophobic... some of these in this thread are really cool, and some are pretty lame and i think you're just impartial to them because you like the album.

yeah i love this band. saw em for the first time last year, they put on a killer show. and i saw them the past 2 saturdays in burlington, then boston. i wish i could do another show this tour.

i have seas of cheese, frizzle fry, and green naugahyde. looking for the rest, especially antipop and suck on this... if you have anything, i'd love to buy, or i have a ton of records i'd be down to trade, i just need to remake a list cause i can't find mine anywhere... thanks... ...

I definitely used to be a 2-3-4-5-6-7 times a day smoker, for years. Probably between sophomore year of high school and last year. But within the last year, i've probably cut down to smoking once or twice a week. It just doesn't do it for me like it used to. Now when I'm stoned I tend to focus all my thoughts on the negative parts of my life, and I get really overwhelmed. Probably when I was in high school and basically worry free it was a lot easier and enjoyable now I just can't do it. But no matter how much I tell myself I don't want to do it anymore, I have one friend that is always smoking and i have a hard time turning down anything that's free.

Are these readily available like they used to be? I just tried to login for the first time in years and it says its not taking my old name or whatever, and I would like to use the site if possible.

Here's the funny part there, I had the books wrapped up in That brown paper and I was also going to throw it in one of those bubblewrap envelopes they sell at the post office an the lady there was like "you don't have to pay for that, just ship it like that" So I took her word for it and look what happens. What I don't get is how could they not find them if the package did infect rip open. I guarantee they're on some postal workers coffee table right now...

Yea they already held the money so I had to pay it back when I wanted to buy something but it would be nice to see it reappear in my account.

So on march 8th I sent some walking dead trade paperbacks with delivery confirmation. Now last week in the mail I got a letter saying the package got ripped open and the books were lost. I sent in the form with it and hopefully they can find them. But the buyer opened up a claim. I have the delivery confirmation number posted, but since he didnt receive the item will I have to refund the money even though I did everything in my power to make sure he got them?

it's pretty crazy how quickly this music scene evolves. i haven't really paid attention/been listening to it for a few years, and now i probably have only ever heard of like 20% of the bands on here!
