I doubt it has anything to do with their age, and probably had a lot to do with the fact that these arrived the week of Black Friday on the west coast and are still landing on the east coast. These stores are just fuckin' busy! You aren't the only person asking them to look for an item and set it aside. Shit slips through the cracks when it's busy like that. Reason #173728 why everyone should have to work retail for a while. Gives some extra perspective.

The shipping is wild on that VIP ticket though. The wife was 99% through the checkout before another $35 showed up. Yuck.

I didn't get any notification, but colored versions of both showed at my doorstep today! Only spun one side and it sounded aweeeesssooommmeeee.

Inb4 lock. You aren't allowed to question $RC around these parts. Big brother is always watching, but only takes cues in regards to pressing your nostalgia records at insanely high prices...not how to please their customers.

Not unless the fine record collecting folks of LA county need four copies of the same variant. I visited 7 different stores, all of whom sold every copy the received to only one customer. The math on that one is pretty obvious. That said, there is still one copy at the AV mall if anyone wants it.

Despite all of the SoCal and Central CA flippers coming out and buying every copy the stores had in one purchase, I was able to score one.

Wow. Got this today. No poly bag, no shrink wrap...and thanks to no bubble wrap or protection in the box I got dinged corners and seam splits. On a 7"! I get that Grade isn't a money maker, but damn this feels like an afterthought given the details put into the Separate The Magnets reissue...

I did them separately this time and it allowed me to do It Hates You, but not the Heavy Fruit test. Weird.

The tests don't work with the coupon code. Just tried and it won't move past the "submit" screen until you take out the code. :-(

I wish anyone else had pressed this so I could buy one. Literally ANYONE else.

Just wait for the preorder campaign to end and if you don't get your records, then throw a fit. I'm sure you'd love to split up your order, but it's just two people who run MS and they have a LOT of orders. They'll take care of you, but there is no need to be impatient and confuse things on their end. Besides, it is 100% standard practice that if you purchase additional items with a preorder item that they all ship together. If you wished otherwise, you should've placed the orders separately.

Dammit. I'm so mad that working made me miss out on the red/black. I fucking love Grade

I likely won't be selling any tests...as I rarely (if ever) do. There are 18 of them because I wanted to make sure that everyone who is interested from both bands gets a copy, Aaron Turner will get a copy, the three of us at MOMR get a copy, and Juan got one for helping to facilitate the licensing of the record. With that being said, there will for sure be ONE copy set aside and will be randomly inserted into an order of the actual LP. When we do "preorders" it is usually just to determine a contest winner - they won't go up for sale until the LPs are fully finished and ready to ship. So there will be one lucky winner when the time comes!

I need to post something for this project as well as the test press jackets that I made for our Brett Detar release. Both are pretty cool!

Just come to LA and get it over already!

It's like Juan knew that I was camped out in front of my computer editing some photos to share with everyone the final product! I have them posted below. As already stated, this are shipping immediately. If you preordered a copy, it should arrive any day...I've been seeing some tags on Instagram and twitter, so I know that they started landing last week! These were quite laborious to create, but they turned out awesome! I am thinking about making a blog post about the creation of these spine caps...we shall see. In other news, it sucks to try to photograph spot gloss. Sucks real bad. I gave up.

I need to do some comparison, but on first listen, this new press seems very bass heavy. This would explain the quieter cut because it seems like they really wanted that kick drum up FRONT in the mix.

I got my copy in, and I have to flip this thing over to hear the b-side! Wtf Kings Road?! If I had only known beforehand...
