i was going to post about these guys. SO. GODAMN. GOOD. catchy as hell. i stumbled across them the same day i found the new Dodecahedron record, who i hadn't heard of before but instantly recognized the vocalist from Anaphylactic Shock (they were an awesome black metal/hardcore band about 10+ years ago i listened to in college) so i was stoked to find these guys and even more stoked because this record is also fucking amazing. awesomely unique. these two records have been on non-stop for me the last two weeks. cant suggest them enough. also been listening to Mesarthim because i apparently didn't know i needed 90's synth soundtrack black metal in my life, but i do.

oh man, i've fallen off the deep end since the last time i posted in here. i've been going gangbusters on buying trades - catching up on stuff i'm way behind and finding a ton of new great things along the way. Image is KILLING IT lately. I've been trying to catch up on my Mignolaverse stuff too. just some of the things i've picked up in the last month or two: All Star Batman & Robin Batman Hush BattleChasers vol 1 original printing (searched forever for this) BPRD omnibus 3 Descender vol 3 Grizzlyshark Harrow County vol 1 Hellboy vol 7, 8 & 9 Locke & Key vol 1 Maxx vol 2 original printing Nailbiter vol 2 Outcast vol 1 Paper Girls 1 Rumble vol 3 (this is my favorite series in recent memory. SO GOOD.) Southern Cross vol 1 (also excellent) Tokyo Ghost vol 1 & 2 and a bunch more. i dont have enough time to read all the awesome stuff i got!! and there's so much stuff i want...

i didn't know they were going to either, i was excited and then pleasantly surprised. they went almost full-blown death metal for it, shedding most of the crust and hardcore elements this time around. but damn, did they get it right. killer record.

i cheated and got this early, DEFINITELY going to buy it when when its out next month. holy shit the closing track Eternal Void is so damn goooooood this guy is next

the castle! the window!! the pie!!! so much insanity. god i love this show.

holy shit that episode was amazing. now i'm curious what story arcs end/cliffhanger or what other one big thing could happen after all that...

finished Injection vol 1 yesterday. that is a weird ass book. anyone else reading the newest run of Moon Knight? picked up the first issue on a whim and liked it but on the fence to keep it up or wait for the trade

i've never been able to listen to them because of the vocals either. he grates me.

almost pulled the trigger on the splatter, but i'm trying to get rid of most of my variant duplicates, not get more of them... SO HARD THOUGH... love this band/record.

still my least favorite of theirs. tried listening to it for the first time in a couple years and age didn't help it at all. couple good songs i still enjoy. that's about it.

both songs are gross. it's like he got happy again and decided to go back to pop punk or something. just... gross. super, super bummed.

i was thinking she had different motives until she drank from the well. pretty sure she would've died if she wasn't totally committed right? also, fuck littlefinger. that guy sucks.

along the lines of what some of you were saying, i kinda felt like this episode was meandering a bit. to me, the little 5-10 minutes of each character's plot is both rewarding and frustrating. sometimes it's a bummer to go several episodes without seeing a character so it's nice to see mostly everyone each week, but i don't feel like a ton of progress is made when we see them. so hopefully that ramps up. also, the faces of the hanging men at the end.... holy crap

i'm starting to feel just as bad for the Batman / DC collectors as the Star Wars collectors. SO MANY.

wow, yeah, September? crazy long pre-order. and debating on the shirt. kinda love it, kinda know my wife would be like "wtf were you thinking spending $ on that..."

YES YES YES bummed the "tour" isn't coming anywhere close to Seattle, i'm just crossing all my fingers that they somehow create some new tunes. new BvS tunes would make my whole goddamn year.

i also think this was already the most perfectly mixed and mastered Converge record, not sure the need to remaster it... still sounds goddamn great. new one kinda sounds like they brought up the vocals in the mix and turned the guitar interference down a touch love this track <3
