  1. The Swingin' Utters and Flatliners 7"s are the two winners here. NOFX is ok. Teenage Bottlerocket is terrible - phoned in crap. EDIT: I should clarify that I'm only referring to these 7"s. I enjoy most of NOFX's output and love pretty much everything TBR has done.
  2. Masked INtruder Christmas 7": http://www.fatwreck.com/record/detail/272
  3. Dang! I was probably one of the first to order and I haven't seen anything yet. Must. Stay. Patient.
  4. Or "metreh-pole" it's a schwa sound, so however you write that out phonetically.
  5. Technically, it's pronounced as "metra-pole," but calling someone out for saying "metro-pole" would be a dick move.
  6. Anyone who ordered get this yet? I know Bunz is on tour, but seeing if these shipped beforehand or what.
  7. First 200 on purple. http://www.almostreadyrecords.com/arr.htm
  8. I know the sentiment is there, but I found this record incredibly boring. None of the covers have any soul. They're all just mopey or cookie cutter. I can honestly say I won't listen to this again.
  9. Was that $100 the retail price or was that a secondary market markup? Regardless, this type of model isn't for me. I like discovering new bands, but I'm more likely to do that buy buying a 10 7" box set that contains a few bands I already like, instead of taking a chance at getting something I like while potentially getting all crap and then having to find a way to unload it (while likely paying to do so with shipping, etc...). That said, I wish this endeavor every success, I just won't be participating.
  10. Oh, here we go. It's that old "some people deserve records more than others" chestnut.
  11. I guess that works, but it's still a flawed system. It's encouraging people to buy many more than are in the set and guaranteeing doubles. The baseball card model works because a pack is cheap. If a pack of baseball cards was $25, no one would buy it. And even with baseball cards you had the option to buy the complete set. I'm all for surprises and new way of doing things, but I think this needs to be thought out more to be effective. For me, I'm don't want doubles and I'm not interested in the headaches of organizing trades. I'll pass.
  12. I agree. It's pretty much guaranteeing people get doubles and have to spend extra money to get the records they want (either by shipping to trade or buying from someone else). I find it ridiculous that there's no convenient way to get the whole set without getting doubles.
  13. I think it's the best of their full lengths.
  14. Already got my replacement copy of Total - that was fast!
  15. I've been buying records for more than 20 years and have never had an issue like this - KNOW YOUR SELLERS. PEOPLE!
