For whatever reasons 1 out of 10 records I either sell or buy from overseas (EU vs USA), it takes more than 30 days to arrive (Im in the EU). If possible, I would wait a week or two.

I never did post a photo of my record room after selling my old shelves (that everyone here loved but sadly they outlived their usefulness due to space constraints and the fact that my fiance demanded that i keep the vault contained to one room). Here's the new room as of a week or so ago. I redid the room last spring, my lady liked the expedits in white so we went out and grabbed enough to fill the room.
 
At some point that 2x4 is going to be replaced by a 4x4 when I run out of room in the existing shelves. I don't give a shit about that window being blocked as I have never opened it. The current total count of records is a little shy of 10,000. I think I will have a party to celebrate when I hit the 10k mark.
 
Most of the old shelves are still in service over at Logan Hardware in Chicago. I kept a couple of them up in my office for the mailorder stuff.

  Note: I totally forgot to put the picture disc version in this photo but I do have one. This is every variation of Mommy's Little Monster. First six are the Triple X Records versions (black and 5 colors), bottom row is 1st press 13th floor gatefold, 2nd press 13th story non-gatefold, time bomb records version.

Here's my Mobile Fidelity collection.  They all sound fantastic except for Sticky Fingers, for some reason they really screwed up on that one.  My original US pressing sounds much better.

Hi guys, I just discovered this wonderful forum and I have seen all the pages of this thread and taken some ideas for my storage area. I am still working on it but meanwhile I want to share some pictures of the current state.
 
I used a cabinet very similar to expedit, but this one was bought in Costco. I don't like my records to be so close to the floor so I decided to make a little table to hold the cabinet 12 inches high. I don't have any woodworking knowledge or background, I am a computer engineer but I had some power tools laying around and watching a few youtube videos gave me some idea of how to build the table. 
 
What I have left to do is make stands for the speakers and also I want to make doors to the cabinets, the doors will be just wooden frames in which I can slip an LP cover attached with hinges to the sides of the cabinet slots.
 
Please excuse my bad English, I am a native Spanish speaker. Any comments welcome!

I wouldn't call it crazy. It's so convenient to have documentation of exactly what you have. And if you add to it as you get in new stuff, it's not a pain/doesn't take much time to update and keep up with.

I got lucky and was able to grab some really nice copies of about 8 of their albums from work. They're from radio and there were multiple copies of most so I checked them out and grabbed the best ones from the lot, most of the vinyl looks new.
Side note, I was also able to see them front row on the Snakes and Arrows tour. Which was insane. My friend and I were right in front of Geddy, it was easily one of the best concert experiences I've ever had. And the only time I've been that close at a show that wasn't in some club or a bar.

I get the whole sharing partners thing, but there aint no way anyone else be touching my records.

I read the whole thing and the only thing I can remember is that you share your girlfriend with her husband.

Yeah prices are high for their shows. Lowest prices for New York were $105 but hey their shows are always sold out over Canada (Toronto and Montreal at least) and it's supposed to be their last big tour from an interview Alex did recently. They're not saying it's their last tour but the next shouldn't be as big. 40 years of touring is something and I can see why they'll want to take it slow in the future.

For those wondering about the recent reissue(s), I just got my copy of Fly By Night and it's excellent.
 
Heavy 200 grams vinyl housed in a copy of Original Master Sleeve inner sleeve, prestine, quiet and it sounds excellent. Included is a lyric sheet like the original release and a card with the details about the mastering and a download for MP4 files. The outer sleeve is ok, nothing spectacular.
 
The downloadable MP4 files are ok but sound so low compared to most of my other music. The download that came with Rush ReDISCovered box set from last year also sounded very low in volume.
 
As a huge Rush fan, it is worth the 30$.

sorry about the damaged cover, it was not the mailer but the fact that I ran out of the cardboard inner protectors. I was just unprepared for how many I was going to need and ran out of them.

I dont care about the info being out there, Im willing to be a martyr for this cause, its more that I just dont like getting attacked by angry gingers for essentially no reason. 
 
I also dont care about people reselling them, but I feel like I still have the right to think that people selling them for $250 is ridiculous and annoying
