22, A Million was a disaster of a pressing. And they bundled a 12" with a 4 minute song on each side that was the single off the album and charged a shit load extra for it, but they were "edits" so imperceptibly different from the album version of the song that it was a total scam, from top-to-bottom. It actively soured me on buying new indie rock albums by and large.

Only thing that I'm looking for is that Calexico reissue... Unless there's been an update on that Dirty Three boxset? -

Did you make this decision because it was the next-most limited or because you liked that variant better than the other ones? For me personally the one with a lot of gold (second-least limited) is the nicest. -

They're all good. I have such decision-paralysis I just might go with whomever is cheapest. Kinda worried that the Ghostly mockup is going to be a lot different than the final version. -

The Stranglers' Best Of might be the RSDBF 2020 release I need the most. Followed closely by Lou Reed's Magic and Loss which is a fantastic and underrated album IMO. U2 really hates their early material. An album like Boy deserves at least an extra LP treatment for a 40th Anniversary. Have to pass on it. I hope to get The Comet Is Coming and Elliot Smith 12"s at discount. The Grandaddy one I might need to buy at-cost. Shitty value propositions, all. I am sorely tempted by both. -

I've long ago stopped buying anything via mailorder from the US unless it's an exclusive/I know will sell-out in PO. Just not worth it. That being said, the outer sleeve treatment of this album is why it's more expensive than most. -

3 copies of the October batch went on sale again while I was dithering on buying this, so I bought one. Stoked even though it means a couple of other labels don't get my money today. Came to over $60 CAD for just this. -

He was bound to deliver a so-so album. Especially at his pace. This is his second album for 2020 right? P.S. Just got an email update about Nautilus I from Qrates being shipped! Yussss. Can't wait for Nautilus II campaign. Diggin' Ominous Music comp btw. Gonna play tf out of it next month.

If the temptation strikes you again and you got any Zippo Lighter Fluid around, try applying a few drops for an even spread onto the sticker part, then wait for a good 30-45 minutes. If it's not industrial-strength adhesive, it should peel out with some gentle but firm pressure. Or don't, because I don't think any reissue of repress of this album in the future is going to feature an outer sleeve like the one you have. This might actually become a collector's edition for real lol. -

I wonder if there was some typo on the front cover and they decided to go for a band-aid solution (almost literally) to fix it rather than dump a whole bunch of misprinted outer sleeves and order a fresh batch? -

I'm Middle Eastern, first-gen immigrant. You can choke on your assumptions. And your playing the race-card when called out on being bigoted against an entire ass country. Just stop, dude. It's really pathetic. -

Literally several other people have chimed in to push back against Shitty Rambo. Are you blind? Or cherrypicking to justify your biased view? Don't fucking tell me what to do: How about that? -

At least you're honest about your bias. An organisation invented to chase, capture and (often) kill escaped slaves will never get any love from me. You can pretend policing is a social good. I happen to have read mountains of data, and have personal experience, that proves that presumption inarguably false. ACAB distills this notion. The stupid literalist approach is to read into it literally. The smart person knows what ACAB signifies is that the institution of policing is irredeemably crap; and anyone entering into the profession cannot avoid being marked by that crapitude. It also overturns the whole "good apple" myth. Anyone who's picked apples know one rotten apple spoils the bunch. P.S. Randy Savage was ACAB. If you know the Waffle House story, you know this to be fact. If you don't, are you really even a 'rasling mark? -

No one cares, Shitty Rambo. An issue of Adbusters from 1996 called; they want their outrage over marketing-hype energy back. We are merely mocking you for reading so much into a casual statement from a member of a punk-rock band who says what any pop musician understands: Art reflects the time it's made in. Imagine being triggered and pearl-clutch-y about that. LMAO. And then take a swipe at their being Canadian to articulate that butt-hurt. Again, because an artist hyped their new EP by suggesting the music sonically reflects the times we're in. OUTRAAAAAGGGEEEEEE!!! Reactionary much? The foundation of fascism is that reactionary, nihilist, leave-me-the-fuck-alone-but-in-the-depths-of-my-hypocrisy-I-will-post-deranged-attention-seeking-tier-whiny-bloggy-rants-at-the-drop-of-a-hat-because-I-can't-avoid-persecution-complex energy that oozes out of your fingertips as you type. -

So do all cop-lovers forget the topic of the debate they reply in, or is it just you? Just to refresh, the claim being made is that when a Canadian band claims that their new songs are a bit more political, and mentions the current era as an explanation for why that is, they're wrong to do that. Because somehow America is none of their business, assuming US-centrism on their behalf even though the assumption itself is US-centric. I'm pushing back against that and that's not meaningful discourse? Is your vision one where the side you agree with says its piece and the side you don't capitulates? -

3. Canadians can't worry about what happens in the USA, regardless? We're only deeply economically-tied to one another and have been since before Independence. Just because you have no clue whatsoever what's happening up here doesn't mean we don't need to track what's happening to your country.
