  1. Reality has set into my finances...what with the new stove, the new screen doors, the new HVAC systemS (we have a two family), and all the money I threw at contractors for all of those things....my vinyl budget is limited. So, when I look at the $40 price tag...I get skiddish....couple that with buying the ...And Justice For All this month...Coheed & Cambria seems squeezed out.
  2. Sentiment by Un IV by Grayceon It's Hard To Have Hope by Svalbard Devoured by Amarok The only one I don't have on vinyl is Svalbard.
  3. I've heard nothing, but I'm holding out hope! We got En Vivo, Rock In Rio though and that makes me hopeful.
  4. I'm getting my preorder on in 2 weeks...just collecting more gift cards.
  5. Still waiting to hear when the next batch is getting popped..... Specifically... Maiden England '88
  6. I can't remember if I posted this one... Master Vindictive Miscreant And a bonus! Wilt Ruin
  7. You know...in 1988 when that album blew my mind.... It sounds the same way it does now. In 1993...when that album made me feel better about my life, helped me get out my agressions, helped me enjoy my liberal viewpoint, etc....it sounds the same way it does now. When that record became my favorite Metallica album, it sounds like this new version of it. I'm buying this and I'm going to be crazy thrilled.
  8. This will be the first single album giant mega box I'll buy. It's got enough cool stuff to justify me paying too much for it. Me to wife: There's finally a mega single album boxed set I'm going to buy. Wife: Great. Who is it? Me: Metallica. Wife: Gotcha.
  9. I meant to buy that Grave Upheaval album...but never did. I gave it a great review though.
  10. You can also sometimes get some nice country. I got this'n for like $1....
  11. Antique Malls are much better than thrift shops, typically for me anyway.... There are a few kinds of Antique Mall sellers: 1. Thrift shoppers who're upping the price. 2. Basically record stores, but overpriced. 3. Golden Unicorns that sell quality records at a fair to cheap price.
  12. I look at thrift shops for musicals. I get loads of great broadway there. I found a copy of Kenny Roger's The Gambler once. I always look at the bins, but rarely find anything for myself. I do get nice stuff for my kiddo sometimes. Oh yeah, Christmas records too...when we put up the tree, we'll hit the local Catholic thrift shop and snatch up some Christmas records for the season too.
  13. Oh well, at least I had some really good news editorials to watch on the TV last night.
  14. There would have to be a very significant reason to buy a new (or old) version of something I already have. This isn't something I'm trying to use to accumulate wealth. The value to me is does the LP look cool and does the music coming out of it make me happy in pants? That's all. I'm still pissed at myself for cheaping out on a splatter vs merge LP though....but as I can't remember which one it was....I guess it's all good now.
  15. Wow. Reading my post I see that I didn't explain at all what I wanted to...damn sometimes I go too quickly and screw the pooch. I meant, am I the only one who doesn't buy multiple versions of things...meaning I buy whichever version is available to me at the best price. I have a 2013(?) Rhino Pressing of Black Sabbath eponymous...I won't be buying another version of that...ever because why? I got one already.
  16. Am I the only one who doesn't consider a re-press unless I can't get an OG copy? And if I have an OG, I don't "upgrade."
  17. I was already on the outside for this and that confirmed it. That makes it so I don't care that I don't have $180+ EU to US shipping to spend on it. I already have Leipzig anyway.
  18. Hence the long version. Again, nothing I said were in regards to his music and message. You inferred and then ascribed. Ergo, you read something into my post and then decided I said it. Sorry that you read something I didn't write, duder.
  19. How so? My concerns regarding his set were a missing banner and a lack of a name being mentioned. I think you're inferring and ascribing.
  20. Long version. I saw System of a Down in 1997 opening the 2nd Stage for Ozzfest. We missed the band's introduction and they never said their name during the set, nor was their name displayed on the backdrop. So, for the rest of the day, we were trying to figure out this hand band because they were great. We found a cassingle of theirs on a freebie table and grabbed it so we'd remember to buy the full CD later. A few hours after that, we ran into Serj. I mentioned to him that we had a hard time figuring out who they were because of their name was neither displayed nor spoken on stage. He laughed a bit, but was what it was. Next year, in 1998. System of a Down is playing the main stage of Ozzfest. On the upper left hand corner of the backdrop, it said SYSTEM OF A DOWN and on stage, he said We are System of a Down thrice. I doubt I was the only person he heard that from.
