  1. The kids on the bridge9 board do this thing where they put the misfits fiend over the faces on regular pictures. sometimes it's pretty funny. I was bored so I made one up. It's not a recent pic, it's actually a good ten years old, taken in the parking lot at an Against All Authority show in Daytona. The fiend in this pic is actually Joe from AAA, he chilled with us for a bit outside, real cool guy. The dude on the far right of this pic is my friend Jon, he's in this band called The Supervillains, and the skull over him is from the band's logo. oh I'm on the far left, the cobra skull.
  2. was planning on going to this, but just found out I have to go to NYC for work for two days. I'm also now going to miss Strike Anywhere, Flatliners, A Wilhelm Scream in D.C. on Tuesday AND because I was planning on seeing Flatliners at said show on Tuesday, I skipped seeing them in Philly last Thursday.
  3. they played "still alive" when I saw them a couple months ago. real good tune
  4. Yea I had a friend go to their Albuquerque show, which was pretty early in the tour, and they said they were long sold out at that point.
  5. well this is interesting. I finally received a package from shopradiocast of a large order I placed a while back (it was only held up because they were waiting for a limited pressing to arrive). Anyway I was extremely pleased as always with them, lots of free stickers and even these really cool promotional Rancid dominoes. The last record in the box was the real treat though. It was the Against All Authority - Restoration of Chaos and Order 2x lp that this order was originally based around. I was expecting one light blue, one dark blue, just the original post in this thread showed. Well I opened it up, one light blue, and one red/maroon/purplish! I don't know if it's rare or common or what, but I had never seen it before, and it was a pleasant surprise! Anyone seen this before? any info on the pressing? Thanks again ShopRadioCast!
  6. I use visiondirect.com I've found them to be generally cheaper than 1800 contacts, and they constantly have coupons and promotions, especially if you're a brand new customer. try googling them and see if you can find a coupon code or something. i'll look around too if i get a chance
  7. from the article in this post: Look for 10.17.09 on CD/DVD and LP formats on November 23, 2010 from Bridge Nine Records and stay tuned to Bridge9.com for more information on the release and pre-order information around Edge Day next month.
  8. every cover i've heard so far has sounded like shit. since when is it a tribute to ruin legendary songs?
  9. sounds like fun, don't have the time to do this though
  10. as a huge bad religion fan, I gotta say I'm worried a tribute album will suck. none of the songs will be better than the originals. that's exactly what happened with the recent swingin utters tribute. a ton of great bands (teenage bottlerocket, cobra skulls, street dogs, off with their heads, fucked up, left alone), but after listening to each song, I'd just rather listen to the original. and I know these bands aren't trying to make the songs better, but when the originals are as good as they are, a cover isn't even really enjoyable. I'll give it a chance though
  11. yea my bundle shipped a while ago, I think it's supposed to get delivered tomorrow actually. and I got the d/l codes a few days ago too
  12. I'm straight edge and most of my friends at least drink and smoke weed. I have plenty of friends who do a lot more too. I've had parties at my house over the years where I've supplied the kegs and whatnot too. often times people find that weird, but for me it's normal. I mean my friends are real close, like family, and for me to not want to hang out with them because they drink or whatever isn't even fathomable. also, with the exception of my sister, the very few sXe people i've met over the years haven't been that cool, so it's not like us sober people hang out with each other because we're sober. and as far as breaking edge goes, can't really speak for "most people", but I went through high school, college, and the military and none of that has caused me to start drinking or give in or anything. And trust me, everyone has tried to get me to. I don't like making "decisions for life", but I do have a razor blade tattoo over my heart, so I don't foresee myself drinking anytime soon (or ever) . and for the record if you couldn't already tell, I definitely don't judge people for drinking/not drinking or breaking edge. if one day you wake up and want to drink, you should drink. if the only reason you don't drink is because you've been sober x amount of years, well, i think that's kinda dumb.
  13. thanks! it's been difficult keeping them uniform, as whenever I buy new prints I can never find the same frame, so basically every wall has different frames, but I try to keep the liked ones grouped together. Yea man I really like his work, I scored one of the one-off clocks he did a while back, the teenage monsters in love. doesn't really tell time that well, but it's cool. That career suicide print is amazing! I'm kinda glad I didn't see it, cause I woulda paid whatever it cost. and I have no idea where I'd put it haha
  14. definitely! I actually flew with him last summer in afghanistan (I'm a c-17 air force loadmaster). I've got pics somewhere, he was really cool.
  15. a few quick pics from some of my walls...excuse the glare the tiger army - night of the ghost tigers actually isn't screen printed, just a poster, but it's still awesome. oh and I've got two more 11x17's to go underneath it, just haven't framed em yet.
  16. To be completely honest, I think sending shipping confirmations for items you neither shipped nor received is inappropriate at best, and pretty dishonest. It's not okay for any business to send a shipping confirmation because they are expecting a shipment to them on a certain date. I think you should send a shipping confirmation the day you ship, not the day you expect to ship. I've been wondering where my order was too and I'm glad Kurtz asked the question. Your response ensured that I will no longer order from you because I think the way you are running your distro is shady. Sending a shipping confirmation doesn't necessarily confirm an item has been shipped. I see this often with ebay purchases, it's just a notification that the seller has created a label. "Electronic Shipping Info Received" is just that, shipping info received. The confirmation number can be continued to use to find out tracking info. My experiences with ShopRadioCast have been very good, excellent customer service and their prices are better than most. Obviously you have the choice to shop wherever you like, but I would definitely suggest giving them another chance. At least they have members post frequently on this board with updates, you may see them as shady, but it seems to me they've been honest and straightforward, regarding the OWTH release anyway.
  17. looks awesome, hopefully my order will ship soon!
  18. How many colors were there? I think I've seen black, red, and the rainbowish one. Can you post a pic of yours?
  19. Saw this at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Boston with my dad when it first came out. Totally awesome.
  20. One of my fav bands, seen em a bunch of times. Unfortunately I'll miss this tour as I'm currently out of the country. Oh well, really wanted to see Devil's Brigade too. My sister saw them in Orlando last week, they played a free acoustic set at Park Ave before the show too.
