A bit of good news regarding the boxset...

We decided rather than printing Nora's pictures on newspaper, we'd print on higher quality paper because the tests came back and it simply looked 100 times better.

Yeah, the band has always toured the upcoming material on whatever current tour they're running.  All of Asunder was one track dubbed Behemoth for a few years.  And before that, Mladic was "Albanian".  It's just what they do.  The visuals for their latest tour (with these songs featured) literally showcased footage of skyscrapers and construction of buildings so it's honestly a bit of a given.  And if they follow the trend of touring this album when it drops, you can probably expect to see new performances for whatever they may tentatively release in 2020 / 2021.

I'm aware that "soon" threads are typically frowned upon but this is Godspeed.  Pre-orders should be up very soon from every outlet; Bull Moose, Amazon, Constellation, etc.
 
If you know me and you've talked to me about music for any amount of time, I've probably raved once or twice about Godspeed being the most interesting band in the modern post-rock scene.  Not only because their music is arguably timeless, but also because they have no regard for scheduled releases or agenda.  In 2012, they debuted 'Allelujah by rolling it out on merch stands during a random performance, and allowed the internet to buzz and clamor before official announcements were made.  And considering that they're always touring new material ahead of time, it has always been my belief that they're sitting on any given amount of unreleased music that they can drop overnight, or whenever they see fit.  And that's exciting.  September 22nd isn't all that far off; basically 2.5 months of waiting to finally hear the fully realized studio versions of songs we've been craving to have since 2015 or so.  Still can't really believe it.

I'm glad I've instantly pulled the trigger on this.

This has been one of my white whale for a while. I was thinking maybe I would have had to wait another 2 years (when the album turns 20) to get a repress or boxset of this kind but I'm glad it's here early. Although I wasn't looking for something as fancy as this (a standard repress would have sufficed) for GBP50 ($84USD after S&H) this isn't too bad.

10-year clear vinyl edition, 2,000 copies worldwide, remastered by Nils Frahm(!!!!). Around $43 after shipping to the US but since this is a beautiful record both inside and out plus I didn't already own it, I bite 
 
Hopefully there will be copies available at other US webstores and I'll be able to cancel the erased tapes order. But for now, I'm not missing out on this.

isnt it ironic that it costs so much for Canadians to purchase an album by a band from Canada?

Night version is back in stock in USD, at this moment in time anyway....

Eager to get to the bottom of this fiasco, I reached out to The Radioheads on Facebook to see if they could clarify anything.  Tom York himself replied directly and apologized for the confusion.  Amazing.  Apparently there are 700 of these worldwide, not 7,000.  Only two zeroes. He's unsure where the extra zero came from, and asked that I just buy the deluxe boxset to be safe.  I told him I'd do it if it meant no alarms and no surprises.  He told me to fuck off and blocked me. 

Same here. I stumbled across this forum as I scrambled for a copy of the blue OKC, and registered the account to hopefully help some people who are still looking for a copy.
