  5. That's the thing — this was supposed to be American Football LP4! Super-stoked it's not, and that they're letting it be its own thing.
  6. Super-stoked for this record, I've loved all the pre-release singles. Silver is up on Amazon for $33.98 Prime.
  7. $399.99 Prime on Amazon Out 3/31/23 For Immediate Release The Pretty Things Announce Career Spanning Thirteen-Album Set Seminal British Rock and Roll Band To Release Exclusive Retrospective Vinyl Collection Over Five Decades of Music Madfish are proud to present, for the first time in one set, the complete studio album recordings of The Pretty Things. Led by founding vocalist and guitarist Phil May & Dick Taylor, The Pretty Things, iconic first wave R&B cult heroes, created some of the most exciting and innovative records of the sixties, early seventies and beyond. Winners of the very first Mojo Hero Award, the band have been a massive success and an immeasurable influence on decades of artists as diverse as David Bowie, Aerosmith, The Ramones, Bob Dylan, The Sex Pistols, The White Stripes, Kasabian and so many more. Housed inside a deluxe, slipcase style box; every album has been remastered especially for vinyl release with the original artwork faithfully recreated throughout. Each album within the set comes with an individual, record specific four-page insert with rare photographs, original single sleeves and words from Dick Taylor, Mike Stax and Mark St. John. Fans will also find an exclusive, high quality pull-out print of the band in their prime. From the chaotic beginnings of the band’s self-titled debut in 1965 through the experimental, turbulent times of the rock opera masterpiece ‘S.F. Sorrow’ to their more reflective, contemplative latter day output in ‘Bare as Bone, Bright as Blood’; this deluxe, thirteen LP box set contains every studio album the iconic band released over five decades. Invaluable to the development of British music as we know it, The Pretty Things’ outrageous behaviour and incandescent stage performances were fundamental to their ground-breaking songwriting with the band’s extensive and eclectic musical archive now a cultural and creative touchstone for generations to come. Still recording music until the passing of frontman Phil May two years ago; this box set, limited to just 1,000 copies worldwide, follows the bands’ whole astonishing journey until those final, formidable recordings in 2020. “The Pretty Things were the biggest influence on us… They invented garage bands.” - Joey Ramone “The Pretty Things completely bent my head.” - Noel Gallagher “The Pretty Things made The Stones look tame.” - David Gilmour The Pretty Things - The Complete Studio Albums: 1965 - 2020 1. 8. What happened to the board for the past 4-5 days?
  9. I donated plasma for extra cash way back in my college days. Super-easy process — you lie down, they stick a needle in you, and roughly 45 minutes later, you're done. They usually had movies playing when I was there so I'd see a random chunk of something like Attack On Titan, ha! Drink a bunch of water beforehand and you'll be fine. I never had any sort of issue recovering from it, outside of occasional bruising if the person sticking me missed my vein. (Luckily I have very prominent veins so that happened very infrequently.) I currently am an AB Elite plasma donor for the Red Cross, I go in once a month for that (and in exchange, they usually send me a $10 virtual gift card or something). The process is no different than from when I gave plasma in college.
  10. This thread kinda died off, huh? Anyway, I run a Royal Rumble pool every year. $25 buy-in gets you two male and two female numbers selected at random (one between 1-15, one between 16-30). Winner take all, each Rumble winner pays out $150. I have a few spots left in my final pool, PM me if you're interested.
  11. No single out yet, but there's a teaser here: Not on Amazon yet either but waiting patiently for a price lower than $32 plus shipping for a single LP. Ooft.
  12. Urban Outfitters is an extra 50% off all sale items, in-store only — obviously, selection/condition will vary at your local store, but I scored a brand new copy of the Stooges' Fun House LP for $4.99 the other day. (Any record with a red price tag on it is considered part of the sale.)

  17. I think "The One That Got Away" is probably what Rivers was referring to when he mentioned Elliott Smith, mainly because it's very likely inspired by Jennifer Chiba, an ex of his who was Elliott Smith's partner when he died. Musically, though, it's still very much Weezer.
  18. Aw man, it's a crummy double LP? I was hoping for a quadruple 10-inch box set!
  19. udiscovermusic is doing a 12 Days Of Deals thing with some seriously deep discounts (and all orders ship free, too). I just got Beastie Boys' Root Down 12-inch for $8! https://shop.udiscovermusic.com/pages/12-days-of-deals
