Yeah, in terms of the print it's not really that great. I mean, I always appreciate the amount of work that goes into screen printing something, especially 600 times over! I'm just saying that I've seen way better prints on albums that are cheaper - and better sounding

Anyone else? I gave it another spin and I'm starting to dig this a bit more...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention: Rocket From The Crypt - s/t - orange vinyl (Sympathy version) Sultans - Ghost Ship for a cool $25 (Hilariously, it was a private sale so I had to go meet some random stranger at a Metro station)

*deep sigh* So, to be honest, I don't really dig this album - keep in mind I really like Boys and Girls in America. So I am offering this up for trade. Just an example of a few albums I really want: Electric Wizard - Witchcult Today 12" Desert Sessions 1, 2, and 3 on 10" Melvins - Trilogy 3x12" etc. But I am definitely looking for others too. This is probably a lost cause - who else here digs Hold Steady and also owns the Melvins Trilogy? ???

I don't get it... why is everyone joking about this band? I feel like it's some weird inside joke that I don't get.

It's not a screened cover, malkmus just fucked around with the art. You can see it on the matablog if you're interested. was it just me or was this actually advertised as a screened cover at one point?

I picked up the s/t - on orange - and The Sultans today for $25. Hot!

Fuck, I love when artists/musicians do the silk-screened covers. But it's crazy that an artist, J. Bannon for example, could put so much work into something - a visual and a recording - and get so little in return monetary-wise. I have lots of artist friends (I consider myself one as well) who charge anywhere from $20-200 for a single print. Now throw an awesome sounding album in with it and it seems insane to only charge $20. Just to beat this point into the ground, I collect Man's Ruin albums, many of which have Kozik prints on the covers. I've paid $5 for a record with a screened cover while people out there pay $200 for just a print. Ah well... Cheers!
