My order from the U.S. store arrived today. Alligator is more neon green while Boxer is more of a standard semi-translucent yellow. Really nice. The colors match the font colors of the respective album covers. The photo doesn't really pick up the neon glow of Alligator, though.

Showed up today. That was stinkin' quick!

Some turntables of the 60s and 70s had notched spindles that were 4 or so inches tall and a brace/arm that held stacked LPs level above the platter. As side one finished and the tone arm retracted, the second LP dropped to the platter and the tone arm returned to play side two. When side two finished, you flipped the stack and played sides three and four.

You ain't kidding! SLOW, SLOW, SLOW! I'm in the process of ordering both and am able to come back here and post about it while I wait for page after page to load. Painful! *EDIT* Site keeps crashing on the last step to confirm purchase. How frustrating! *EDIT 2* So, apparently it was crashing because I had selected PayPal as payment method. I switched to Credit Card and it hung up for ever saying "submitting payment info" or something like that. Well, just before giving up entirely, I checked my email and had an order confirmation from 4AD in my inbox. I switched back to the 4AD page and it was still "submitting" the order. The page finally switched to an order confirmation like five minutes later. Looks like all is good after all. I just HATE paying with credit cards!

So, I just discovered today that the Love Is Hell has been pulled from Lost Highway's list of scheduled 10th anniversary clear vinyl reissues. WTF?!?! Big Easy, you got any insight????

German, Japanese, US, and UK are all sure bets. Anything else, you may want to listen to first. Be aware that bootleggers will try to copy these better pressings.

The t-shirt that came with the preorder actually says "greetings from Bon Iver, Bon Iver" in an old postcard style font. Funny, right.

Not to be a nerd or anything but the album is not self-titled. It is indeed titled "Bon Iver, Bon Iver" as in "New York, New York". No lie, straight from the man's mouth. Trusss me.

Really? Not liking this new song, in no way, has anything to do with The Blood Bank EP or the not-self-titled Bon Iver, Bon Iver. I love 'em both. I just can't get past all the autotune vocals. Maybe I'm too old school (or just old) but leave the autotune to guys like Kanye and T-Pain. The whole thing just seems like a big manufactured mess to me. Maybe it'll grow on me. We'll see. I would have a meltdown, too if I just threw strike three with two outs and it was called ball four by a incompetent umpire. As for Girardi, I think he handled the post-game interview perfectly. It is "silly" how the media keeps digging at this story. Granted AJ probably doesn't belong in the rotation right now but trying to pit the two against one another is going a bit too far.

I agree, it's just not same. The black is pretty sweet, though. And, if I had to guess, it'll be next to get marked down. I'd check back tomorrow if that's a deal you'd do.
