of course they wouldnt go up when theres 30% off of the entire HT site along with $1 shipping on orders that are $30+.

im not sure about the counterweight on my ancient player, but juturna played perfectly and all of my other records sound fine.
i did play OLG on my newer turntable and it still skipped in a bunch of spots on side a, mostly before the very first vocals come in.
i contacted topspin and they replied super quick and said they would ship a replacement right away.
i had also explained that it is possible some of it might have been due to an unknown issue with my player and they insisted that i still send the original copy back.

totally worth the $30+ per record.

It kinda is. Taking care of your turntable, keeping records in prime condition, keeping up to date with all new releases, and commenting on threads about records.Don't get me wrong though. Everyone is nerdy in some way. Its just a display and expression of passion. Sports fans are not that different from cartoon or comic geeks. Don't be insulted by the term.
Honestly I think its cool the dude weighs all his records. I wouldn't but that's just me. I have my own obsessive habits to keeping my collection in prime condition as well as what I choose to by.

What if I told you that it doesn't matter and I just like doing it?  What does it matter to you?

why? i don't understand why it matters how much it weighs. it's not like labels are advertising 180 gram records and sending out 120 gram records. vinyl production is a manual process. 180 grams is an estimation. does it matter if it's actually 172 or 190 grams? what's next? collecting different weighted records? "i have it on 172 AND 186 gram vinyl! i'm looking for 173-185!"

Can't understand why people are questioning Buffbloom for weighing his records. Definitely not something I would do unless I was suspicious I received an incorrect weight but I sort of like when I check the thread of a record I bought and he posts the weight of it.

Agreed. I'm all for the standard black. The super limited variants are so it sells out quick to the collectors and flippers. You are right on with that.
