I came back last night from Boston to see sitting in my front doorway: -Thursday - Five Stories Falling -ETID - The Big Dirty (leopard) -two Defiance, Ohio LPs In addition to DCFC's Plans and a Godspeed album I picked up in Beantown.

Hey Virgil, test press winners?
mcm1610 replied to ronniethebear's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'd love the ETID test press, but I've already resigned the fact that I didn't win, because in my 21+ years of existence, the only raffle-esque thing I won were tickets to a Sabres game I already had tickets to, and the raffled seats were worse than what I had. -
This Will Destroy You - Young Mountain repress
mcm1610 replied to ronniethebear's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I picked up a copy of the original on clear vinyl (don't know anything about the pressing info), so I might be interested in the repress colors.. I love that record. I'm eagerly awaiting the new one, I haven't caved to any of the leaks for it, I want to hear it on vinyl first! -
Studying history has shown the ways in which organized religion is used as a tool and the way religious beliefs have simply been an explanation of the unknown. It's a cop-out. Where'd we come from? Who knows.. must've been God I guess. I have no problem with people who do believe. But I don't. If people try to convert me back (I was baptized Lutheran, then converted to Catholicism later, then as I got older dropped it all), I gladly debate them and explain why I don't believe, but I rarely initiate anything as I feel they're free to believe whatever they want. As for Christmas... there's no reason to believe that even if Jesus is 100% real and truthful that he was born on Dec 25th, and the holiday has been extremely bastardized thanks to Coke and Hallmark and every other company that it's hard to say it's a truly religious day. Hell, I know Jews that celebrate Christmas for the family and gift-giving aspects only.

Rejected b-side, eh? How many of that test-pressing are there?

Epic Moments in your Gaming History

Man ,i feel like a slacker. Me finishing a game is pretty good in my book, but you guys dominate them. My "highlights" include beating FF7, and beating Halo2 on Legendary with a roommate. That's it. -

Plans is next on my "to-order" list, but I'm out of money at the moment and I keep getting nervous that it's going to disappear. -
I present Scott Heisel at The Fest 6!

Who is Scott Heisel, besides kind of a sloppy looking human being? -
THANK GOD. I never found Borat or Ali G funny... it's the same uncomfortable joke over and over.. "Hi, I'm foreign and don't get what you're talking about, it's funny when I bring up something inappropriate and blame it on ignorance." I would've been fine with that being one skit on SNL or something, but to base a show on it? Jesus. Then that movie came out and it was recited forever while people thought they were comedians for stealing someone else's terrible lines. I come close to stabbing people every time I hear "verrrry niiiiiiiiice" in real life.
-
Is that a ban 'round these parts?
-
+ Sabres beat the Flyers + Spacek threw some niiiice bodychecks - I'm still in a lot of pain from this surgery (and not to be inappropriate, but my scrotum is purple and my right testicle is 2x the size it used to be)
-
I have an Ion USB turntable bootleggedly set up on crappy speakers. That's fine for now, but when I'm all done with school I'm planning on getting some nice speakers and a real nice setup.

Aha, so I'm not the only one who does that? Haha yesterday I noticed how high my credit card bill was but also how many new albums I wanted to buy. I sat there on interpunk adding everything I wanted to my shopping cart and frowning at how much money I'd need to get it all, but smiled when I noticed that I could save a lot on shipping if I lump-summed the order, ratehr than spacing it out, because let's face it, I know I'm going to order them all at some point or another, so why not make it a "deal" and save on shipping?that's one hell of a run on, but I'm on hydrocodone and can't process my thoughts too well.
-
I realized yesterday while fantasy-shopping on interpunk that their shipping becomes a great deal if you buy a million dollars worth of stuff. After a certain point, it's like +$.25 to add another record.

Do you go to the Record Theatre in the NF outlet mall ever? I went once about a year ago and it seemed loaded, but I haven't been out that way in a while. -

it is - 2xLP Where does one find it? -
Congratulations! I can't wait to have kids myself.. I love them. But I need to work on finding a partner, first..

-----------no one told me the day after surgery would hurt THIS much. I had to sleep on the couch, because we're too poor for a house with enough rooms, and not only do I share a room with my 23 yr old brother when I'm home from school, I have a lofted bed to save space, and there was no climbing upstairs or up the ladder for me. When I woke up at 6am in a ton of pain, it took me 15 minutes to get to the kitchen where my oxycodone was. + the oxycodone is now within arms reach. + My Defiance, Ohio LPs showed up today. I have to order the new one though, and the This Bike is a Pipe Bomb albums.

Don't waste your time, there are none left in Buffalo. I've already looked. Out of curiousity, where do you shop around here? I haven't been in the vinyl game long enough to have scoped out all the good spots yet. And I'm still going to try and treck around to the stores because I've got a list of records a mile long I want to find in person before I pony-up for shipping costs here and there online. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to help out someone. -

For people interested, I'll try to convince friends to cart my temporarily crippled-ass around stores in this area.. I know I saw a couple late in the summer, but I don't know if they'll be there. I have my own, so I'd be willing to part with anything I find simply for the cost + shipping. (although I wouldn't be opposed to a tip... ) -
Has anyone heard about the Led Zep box set?
mcm1610 replied to 311thrice's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Wow, that 44.99 GBP makes that 69.99 ebay price look so much better.
