  1. If the red is the same red they put out a few weeks ago, it does look a bit nicer. It's a transparent ruby red.
  2. I bet these will be on sale within 6 months to a year. They're going to stick around for a while.
  3. I sometimes think these sellers have fake accounts driving up the bidding or completing fake sales to give the illusion of actual demand... Like on Discogs when you see a record's sales history and there's one massive outlier.
  4. I wasn't around when Dead Format was a thing... but what's wrong with Discogs?
  5. I got an email instantly after my order. Hate to say it, but I don't think yours went through
  6. Maybe if the book had some account of the band's history, or anything other than just photos of Geoff Rickly screaming... This album holds a special place in my heart, but I'm passing on it.
  7. How many people realistically would buy this? 5-10k people? I don't have a number, but neither does the label. It's likely a better use of their time to press some big, mainstream artist's new record than it is even trying to figure out what the magic number is for a 10 year old NFG record. There are probably tons of approvals necessary to press beyond a certain threshold, which would require some sort of market analysis, additional approvals, etc. for it to be worth their time. 2k will sell, and is easy to place backlogged in some queue for 2 years. Just my theory; I don't know what goes into obtaining licenses, if there's a cost sharing element, buybacks if it doesn't sell, etc. Regardless, I think far too many big labels approve excruciatingly small presses of highly-sought after records in less popular genres for it to be just an oversight.
  8. Are we sure it's sold out? Seems like it crashed fairly quickly. It's possible that there will be some up once the site is restored.
  9. It grew on a lot of people. For me and everyone I know personally who likes NFG, this record was initially hated and then loved when revisited a few years later. I think it was a sound within pop punk that no one was ready for at the time, but as the genre changed and more bands made this transition, you eventually go back to this record and really appreciate how good it was. This was my least favorite NFG record when it came out, and now it's probably my second or third favorite.
  10. Was able to get the color in color. Pretty easy after getting through the initial site crash
  11. Maybe they only allocated a small portion of the orange clear to the vagrant webstore, then. The pink blue white had about 370 when I checked this afternoon, so that tracks
  12. Hah that actually doesn't look bad to me, but a proper splatter it is not.
  13. Is it as bad as white based splatters? It always looks like the splatter was drawn on with crayon
  14. The orange/clear variant of The Fire is sold out. I wonder how many they pressed. I prefer the pink/blue/white though. Doesn't go with the cover art, but I've bought a lot of orange and clear combos lately... Almost feels like they're all coming from the same place lol
  15. The Zia variant is "black with heavy yellow" splatter, but the mockup is yellow with black splatter. I hope it's the former, because the Joshua Tree pressing is yellow with black and it doesn't look great
  16. I love this album. Instantly bought it. I'll deal with the discount if it ever comes. 500 units of this record isn't enough. It's likely more variants will come elsewhere, but I'm not risking it.
  17. And a lot of old Starting Line records being put up for sale on discogs for "have your cake and eat it too" prices lol
  18. If it's like the red I just bought, it still has that issue where the last song on side B (I'll Catch You) is right at the end of the grooves, so if you have auto-stop on your turntable, the "....don't ever worry" sounds like it's sang by Satan from that Blink 182 live album...
  19. https://www.polyvinylrecords.com/product/something_to_write_home_about How about this one?
  20. Maybe it's to find out if they even need to try anymore? If they get, oh let's say, 100 people to buy that on Friday then they know that every Friday from now on they can release random shit and they'll have at least 100 suckers
