  2. most anything you order on the site will be gone by the time the pick it. you are wasting your time
  3. interpunk pulled the listing a couple weeks ago. don't know if there is another. regardless, this is one of the best albums that anyone in the band has touched.
  4. mint is a clean copy (cover, record, sleeve) that doesn't show any signs of wear, but may have been opened. mint=like new.
  5. plastic is 15 cents for regular sleeve, 35 cent for thick, don't know about paper for sure
  6. haha you dont know how psyched i am to see this in this thread. MK Ultra - Bring Me the Head of Tony Victory Just a job not not for the kids another fucking marketing ploy the empire will never topple as long as rehashed metal still sells how can shit you see at Best Buy still pass for DIY? four color shirts and covers can't hide that the bads are shit support independent hardcore? who the fuck are you trying to kid? bring me the head. fuck their shit. two song seven inches ads in every alt rock zine. victory and his cohorts are the traitors of the scene.
  7. Charles Bronson - Tony Victory Knows How To Party Lyrics The monster has been spawned and now it's ready for some serious moshing in the pit cuz it's ONLY THE STRONG allowed for an EVEN SCORE with me in an embroidered STRIFE hat and a DOUGHNUTS longsleeve. Gee thanks for showing me what hardcore is all about. Please kick my ass, oh pretty please kick my ass. Cuz this monster makes me yawn ever since soapy jack got caught with his pants down he ate up every poser metal jock and shit them out on our scene which doesn't sound like supporting independent hardcore to me but thanks for marketing this fashion symbol drawn on my hand.
  8. Opps. I believe that must be a typo. As far as i know that was never pressed on vinyl (yet) It was Broken Star, had that for a long time. Mike Park talked about pressing Broken Van a year ago and wasn't sure if I'd missed it. Thanks though... I'm sure it will be pressed in not to long.
  9. Here's a start for top store in the country from plugawards.com. Pretty interesting site if not familiar. 10. $25 each? would be a steal. I sold my copy of Electra four years ago for $125, but typically goes for less from what I understand. I'm just curious to know what this is getting now.
  11. Do take the L. Reckless has three locations, Lakeview,Wicker Park and a new one in the Loop. They are definitely the best show in town. Prices have been going up in the past year, but they are still very reasonable and a solid shop with by far the best used inventory in the city. I would recommend doing a tour of all three shops and you'll come out with some great stuff. Dusty Groove is a great shop too, tops in the country in their specialties, but may not be your thing. Permanent Records at 1914 W. Chicago Ave is new and pretty impressive for having just opened in 2007. Dave's at 2604 N. Clark can also have some good finds. There are a few others, but I'm pretty sure these will be closest to what you are looking for.
  12. what kind of cartridge and needle are you using with it?
  13. it's very euro to use the plural, but does sound very strange
  14. Does anyone know if the VC shop cart works as follows... When you place an item in your cart, it's clearly available, otherwise you get directed to the screen with various buying options, but not the one you tried to purchase. If you continue to shop with the item in your cart, it appears you can lose it. Anyone know if this is the case? I assume it is, and need to change my method when wanting something. Happened to me on a couple things listed in this post. However, went to BYO and bought them just had to pay $7 for shipping two lp's vs. $3 here.
  15. loki, sent you the paypal last week. didn't see me on the list. please let me know. thx again.
  16. A couple other points on this. So many labels are making it a game for collectors to get the first rare press on a certain color, then people who don't get it spend $100's on ebay. My issue is that non-fans are buying anything that comes out because of value, or potential value, rather than a love for the music. Not much can be done about it, unfortunatley. My preference is for tour only vinyl, in limited presses. Get people out to see the bands they love.
  17. I totally agree. I've begun to fill my backorder the last year or so while stuff is still reasonable, or at least compared to chasing new vinyl. There is so much good stuff that won't be on the 141st press in 10 years.
  18. xxMartin, I'm somewhat in your boat. I think people are hitting on it now. Much of it's really about collection. Obviously, rarity and limited pressings has always been around for a long time but not in this capacity. However, the opportunity to buy things online with a swift credit card/paypal transaction (combined with popularity of collecting) has accelerated the buying process much more so than old skool mailorder where money was sent in the mail of the few albums that you couldn't wait to get. Additionally, ebay and other outlets are creating an outlet for quick wealth creation. In many cases, people are buying what's rare and collectible over what they really love or will listen to. 1st presses will always be rare, valuable and desirable in my opinion. My concern for people with huge collections of color/or various pressings of one lp is similar to the whole baseball card and comic book craze of the 80's and 90's. At the time they were popular, they were worth lots of money so people stockpiled them. Now we know what happened to them. I've been expecting a craze to really hit vinyl for a few years. With everything downloadable for free online, or free downloads with vinyl purchase, there is little reason to buy CDs. People needed an outlet bringing vinyl back to the masses. Much of it is good in my book but a bit overwhelming from a collection standpoint.
  19. sunn o))) white one, clear wax for $22 from local record store.
  20. i don't trust aquarius either. seems to be far too many. sorry memoryloss, got ouit of school years ago. you're right, i can't believe that your pissy little ha ha drew a reaction from you. must have been your sugar high. talk to you tomorrow after you get out of school. you're right, i'm new on here but have been collecting records for years and years before you discovered fall out boy your freshmen year. If you have no clue about something keep your mouth shut. Don't challenge people in the know. Fucker.
  21. I think 1st Japanese press was 500 corrugated. Regarding the 1st press in the IS, 2000/2000 SL Pink each check this link http://www.ilxor.com/ILX/ThreadSelectedControllerServlet?boardid=41&threadid=53345 black came out in the states sometime later in a version of 4,000. See Aquarius. http://www.aquariusrecords.org/cat/b26.html memoryloss, did you make up your numbers?
  22. Hey "memoryloss", you little muppet. Enough of your "ha ha" mockery - twerp. It's been a while since I paid attention to the black vinyl, but got confirmation to end this shit. It was released in 2005 in Japan on Diwphalanx Records, edition of 500. Clearly I didn't have this info handy so I mentioned it as a guess. What I mentioned I was positive on is that the US issue, first press was as I stated - 2000/2000. Stop confusing people on this forum with your mindless banter. Contact Southern Lord if you have time to waste. However, I'm sure they'll tell you to shove it. Had you bought a copy when it went on sale you'd know this.
