As much as I would like the latter, its just too expensive (the former is too but I was more excited for J.E.W). I don't care what anybody says. That's fuckin' steep. They could have just kept it as a 2XLP with just the standard album and shaved at least $15 off of it but gougers will gouge.

I will definitely hit up HT for their particular colors as well. Like I said, I'm getting two of each color of each release. I just hope the packaging has a sticker to indicate which color they are ???

At the end of last year the official death cab store had this and Photo Album for like $20 each. I was under the impression that those were represses but perhaps just found old stock.

I'm likin' that shiny groove detail. Still, I wish this had been on 2XLP if for no other reason than the fact that the CD image makes it look like there are only 4 tracks on Side A. Would have been nice to have that detail honored but as I said, as long as it sounds good, I'm cool with it. Thanks for posting the photo.

Yeah, not sure why they even went for white but its an interesting variation. I have nothing against white vinyl. Some of my best sounding presses are white. Not that I credit the color with the superiority in fidelity. I just had an amazing idea! You could Exacto slice the front of this plastic sheathe out and stick it in front of a traditional album sheathe...you know... the ones that last.

This album will probably suck but purple vinyl is sweet. I'll more than likely pre-order.

I can think of a few ways they could have achieved this same effect with a better outcome but it probably would have been too expensive and they probably should have just printed the implied CD image on a standard cardboard sleeve. Novel idea but worse for the product in the end.

Shit. It looks cool and everything but I can see that sheathe going to shit really quick. Maybe if I keep the whole package inside a resealable sleeve it will reduce the wear on the shite plastic. And apparently this record player spins discs over the controls lol. A minor detail and a valiant effort in trying to replicate the CD packaging. The label could have used a bit more detail to faithfully replicate the CD image but still its close enough. All I really care is that they made it sound good enough as its all crammed onto a single disc. Dear crazydiamond, Please post more angles??? Please? EDIT: And FUCK, that's Appendage underneath it! Man, I wish I had connections!
