You would think that, but have you ever tried to help people out on this board? This is my experience (multiple times):
"Hey can is someone seeing BAND NAME anytime soon? I'm looking for this"
"I am, I'll help you out!"
"Cool thanks! Just let me know when you get it!"
"Hey I was able to grab that for you, just paypal the money..."
"Oh, well I really appreciate it but I forgot I was supposed to buy my grandma her cigarettes this month so I can't do it anymore, hope that's ok, thanks again!!"
"ooookaayyy..., anyone else looking for this?"
"So and so got me one / I found out it wasn't that limited so I'm going to wait / the hype died down so I no longer want it"
 
Granted with DUTD, I DO think you could sell them at cost if not more, but the above is why I hesitate to help anyone anymore.

I don't think anyone who ordered a box set is not going to get one. Either way, call me a dick if you want, but if the box set does show up and my house, I will be keeping and enjoying it.

Depends on who got screwed, I guess. If it was someone who deals fairly on here like Toki or Loveless Wrists, or someone cool I've dealt with like Royce or Sapst, I'd considered it. Otherwise, who cares?
You do know this is just a message board right? We don't owe these random people anything.

It's still wrong though, because 3EB is terrible at customer service, a few fans are sol on the box set front, but hey, that's ok they went the proper channels and got a refund legitimately because 3EB, again, is terrible so you guys deserve a free box set.

Well, I would consider those who jumped on the box set preorder immediately an honest fan. I've been waiting for a repress of this for a while, so I immediately bought one.  Then to find out that they were releasing the albums individually a day or two later was bullshit.  I tried all channels of properly cancelling my order, sending an email to 3EB shop, calling the number they had listed on Paypal.  Then finally when I gave up hope of these dickwads giving my money back, I opened up a Paypal dispute.  They had like a total of 25 days or something to write some form of response.  They gave me nothing.  Paypal had to freeze MY money in THEIR account, and finaly give it back to me after a near month long wait.  That shows me that these guys dont give a shit.  So you know what? I dont give a shit either, and when/if I get my "cancelled" box set, I will sit back and thank #JENKINS and Co. for being a bunch of dumbasses who dont know (or dont care...) how to run a web store for their bands merchandise.

I see your point, my brain just doesn't work this way.
I'd just enjoy my free boxset. People that I don't know and will never meet who like 3EB don't mean anything to me.

Someone's just had a shitty day, I presume, so they're taking it out the best way they know how: on a bunch of strangers on a message board, anonymously.  We've got some real tough guys around these here parts.
