  1. I had a guy in some crazy country offering me $85 for it, so I was waiting to see what was up. The whole flipping deal is a touchy subject. I mean, value is value, I get it. Some people care, some people don't. I feel weird when someone is trying to flip something a couple days after they get it from the label. I don't feel as weird if someone is trying to sell it a couple of months down the road. Is that weird? Probably. Did I want to sell that record for $40, ehhhh, I still don't know. That guy never came through and it's one of my favorite albums. (it wasn't the tour copy you were asking for, by the way). It's worth more than $40 to me. I do have the /300 version on green if you're still looking for a copy. PS Dude, I'm shitty about replying to PM's. I read them on my phone while at work and by the time I put in my 8 hours and get home, the last thing I'm thinking about is a PM I got at 10am. I'm thinking about a glass of whiskey and the couch. It had no bearing on the record, you or price, it was me having a ridiculous memory... If you buy an extra copy of a limited edition anything and sell it an hour, a year, a decade from that day, you are flipping. Do I give a shit about flipping? No. It's definitely better to try and help people out with trades or close to cost sales, but trying to get more value out of a purchase is just the way it usually is and I am fine with that. I guess it's just ridiculous that you are so pissed off about this when you are doing it yourself. What a record is worth to you and what you're willing to sell it for is completely your business and your right. Getting mad about someone else doing it is just hypocritical. In the end hopefully all of us collector losers will end up with one of these damn tour copies.
  2. It's weird how depending on the person and the thread, this comment goes one way or another. I initially thought this was a random dude, trying to flip records. Come to find out its a mylene regular, I said sorry, no biggie. Tour presses are a rare thing, especially mylene sheath tour presses, so I honestly don't think it was that crazy of a question. We all want a copy, so for someone to buy up a bunch is weak, if the intentions are weak. We've moved passed that, so thanks This is all kinda funny that you are getting so pissed about some guy supposedly "flipping" when I offered you a solid $40 for your extra tour copy of Above the Earth and you said it wasn't enough. So how long do you have to wait before you call it flipping? I wanted a copy of that record and you wouldn't even write me back to tell me how much over $40 you wanted for it. I thought that was a little weak.
  3. This band is so underrated. Every time I listen to their album I can't believe how really good it is. Just a heads up, last time I checked they had the limited red vinyl of the lp at Razorcake.
  4. Yeah, I listen to that record almost every day. I agree that this band just needs a little more exposure and they will do really well.
  5. Maybe Amoeba Records online? When I went to the one in SF they had a bunch. Of course that was the day of the instore.
  6. Maybe it was just me, but did anyone else at the SF show feel like it was just ok? Junius was great, but O'Brother seemed off and the sound was muddy. Still like the record though.
  7. Looks like a new lp is coming on May 29th. http://gatesnj.com/2
  8. Awesome. This should be a scene in a movie. Who would you like to be starring as you? Jack White will be played by a later years Michael Jackson impersonator.
  9. ^ Thanks. I have a feeling I am going to be listening to this album a lot.
  10. Yep. Oh well, still a cool addition to the collection.
  11. There is nothing worse than trying to order records on your phone, especially when you have deadspots on your touchscreen and you have to flip it back and forth to type. I don't know why the SHeath site is blocked on my work computer. Finally got both colors though! Can someone remind me when this is being released so I don't have to look at my phone?
  12. I was wondering what was happening with this. Will there be a purple? Glad everything is moving along!
  13. I went through a lot of different bags for work and finally stumbled across Chrome bags. They are pretty damn expensive, but they have a lifetime guarantee and lots of great features including a built in bottle opener(woohoo). Good for carrying records too. I will most likely have this for life. http://www.chromebagsstore.com/bags.html
  14. At this point I wonder if my order will ever actually go through.
  15. The ebay dumping of extra copies has begun! I will be happy to pay a sane price for the repress. Knowing the Sheath it will be a deluxo package.
  16. Can't wait to get home and crack open my bottle of Ninkasi Total Domination IPA. Sooooo thirsty.
  17. That Fogdiver lp by Ocean I got from you is so damn good! Thanks.
  18. wOW. This is crazy. I will still order from IVWT.
  19. I got my 2nd pressing. Black and white marbled = grey swirl for me. Did anyone get one that is more of a defined black and white?
  20. Agreed, completely dig that album. I finally got one of the 45 rpm reissues. Picked up Freddie Hubbard's "Goin' Up". I've had it on cd for a while and was hoping to someday get an original pressing, but that wasn't going to happen. The vinyl pressing sounds sweet. Can't go wrong with this line up: FREDDIE HUBBARD: TRUMPET HANK MOBLEY: TENOR SAXOPHONE McCOY TYNER: PIANO PAUL CHAMBERS: BASS PHILLY JOE JONES: DRUMS
  21. The story is about Muslims killing 40 kids. I don't remember Christian killing their own religious kind because they were different. Excluding wack nut jobs that kill in general and that claim God is "talking" to them. Ever read the Old Testament? Religious extremists exist in most "organized" religions. Killing and judging in the name of god is a norm. Anyway, this insanity happening in Iraq is sadly not surprising, but still so fucked and a reminder of the evolutionary infancy of the entire human race. Chipcheerio!
