  1. I think it's worth asking because I only know my preferences and figured it was worth getting input from other people. And no, I generally do not pay more if something is sealed... but some people do.
  2. So it sounds like I should probably open it. That way I can ship it in a plain sleeve anyways so it won't split the ends of the sleeve if it's printed. Cool thanks.
  3. So I decided it's time to sell some of my records and will probably put them up on eBay soon, but I have a question: One of the records is Neurosis - Sovereign from Record Store Day a few years ago and it's sealed, but there are three color variants. Should I open it to specify the color or is leaving it sealed a better idea?
  4. I won!!!!! First impulse purchase: time machine.
  5. wait wait wait. schoolkids is taking orders???all i want for christmas is Hvarf/Heim and that Ra Ra Riot 7"...i shall injure people to get them. american tobacco must be a nice place to work. love it over there. i'm gonna try to get to a Bulls game this weekend. No, not Schoolkids, Strictly Discs online. So I'll go to Schoolkids on Saturday and grab the few things I must have in case they don't get sent to me. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the two you're after. I'm not gunning for either so I can try to hook you up if you have no luck.
  6. BTW, If anyone is in Athens I recommend Wuxtry. I was there for the Ween 40 Watt show last year and they were a great place to shop and everybody in line was pretty cool too.
  7. Yuuup. I'm way closer to Schoolkids in Raleigh, though. I live in Garner (boo) and placed an order online in hopes that I get what I want, but I picked like 25 things so I'll prob be dropping 500 bucks if I get it all... which I assume I won't. The crucial item is Tomahawk, but I hope to get Phish and Battles, too. I'll prob go to Schoolkids and grab the few very rare necessary items so that if I don't get them I'm covered and can trade around for what I didn't get. Bull City is great though... sometimes I can sneak out there for a few minutes on the way from my office in the American Tobacco Campus to the office in the Research Triangle Park, but I look even more square than I am in work attire. Chaz is a class-act!
  8. The song did not impress me... RJD2's theme song however... I ordered both on backorder... then got buyers remorse. I'll let fate decide it.
  9. Goddammit Bleep is expensive... especially with shipping. How limited is this?
  10. The Kalamazoo, MI show from 98 is THE Tool boot. That needs to be pressed. It was the second Tool show I went to and had so many cool unique tunes like Stranglehold and the extended Sober and Pushit.
  11. I picked up a copy for 15 bucks and am pretty satisfied. I have a FLAC copy of the show and it sounds great, but can't really say for sure if the LP is sourced from that or mp3... that was my primary concern when buying it.
  12. Are you talking about this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MELVINS-UNSANE-SPLIT-TOUR-SINGLE-ON-TRI-COLOR-VINYL-1-of-625-/140729487031?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item20c4218eb7#ht_500wt_1054 If so, it's actually not numbered. There's a lot of douchey sellers that pull the whole 1 or whatever shit in their titles. You know what you're right that is the one. I guess I jumped to conclusions. Not explicitly a lie but it is pretty misleading.
  13. So is anyone's tri-color numbered? I got both and my splatter is 67/75 but my tricolor isn't numbered. Someone is selling a tricolor on eBay claiming it's 1/650 so I'm wondering if they forgot to number mine of the guy on eBay is douchey enough to self number his and make it #1.
  14. I need to get rid of my cards. I have a box full and they range from a little beta and alpha and some unlimited lots of revised and fourth and then up to about six or eight years ago. A few from Legends and Dark too. I sold my power cards on eBay for about 800 bucks (dual lands and force of wills) but I still have a bunch of good shit. I intend to make a list anyways so I could post it here. Would anyone be interested in maybe buying some or all of them depending on what I have?
  15. I gots a 2010 Founders Nemesis aging in the storage closet. Should fuck me up pretty good when I decide to drink it. The other three were tasty as hell!!
  16. I'm pretty sure 2/3 of the shipping fee is going into his pocket. It's douchery plain and simple. It takes about three days to hear back from the seller and I'm not expecting a response period this time.
  17. So I found 6 LPs that I wanted from a seller on Discogs and he's trying to tell me it'll cost 24.16 to ship it (within the US.) I'm awaiting they're explanation, but can anyone think of a reason why it would cost this much? I'm pretty sure it should cost no more than 8 bucks and even that's being pretty generous. Thoughts?
  18. I got one of each... toolbag here, I know. I'll probably hold onto them for trading fodder in the future if I decide I don't want them.
  19. 150% profit but one less amazing record... and besides I'm a Graveface completist. Just keep your eyes peeled and hopefully you'll stumble across one. The crazy thing is every title in that store is a little overpriced and just when I thought I'd leave empty handed I found Solace (ironic eh?) Same thing happened the previous time I was there around Christmas. Thought I'd end up with nothing and found Kid606 - PS I Love You sealed for $5. I only go there if I'm in the area when my girlfriend and I go back to her home on holidays. I think it's called Flipside Records. Really cool place with a lot of Detroit bands but about a buck or two more than I'm used to seeing stickered in Raleigh at Schoolkids.
  20. I was 14/16 on day one and now 24/32. Michigan State all the way.
  21. What kind of car does Chris Carrabba drive? A Saab!
  22. I picked this up for ten bucks at a record store in Clawson, MI around thanksgiving.
  23. My blog and some other sites, e.g. vinyl collective. Each soundtrack is limited to 5000 copies, is individually numbered and comes on colored vinyl. Empire on Orange, Pretty in pink on pink vinyl and Breakfast Club on Brown. I read that the Breakfast Club was on "dandruff white."
