  1. Ah dude. Forgot you were in the area. A friend's band won an opening slot for that in a battle of the bands. Did you see anyone early on? Heard what you said about the crowd--that even if you didn't like the music, the crowd kept you in it cuz they were so pumped.
  2. This thread is only getting better. I can't believe how concernicus the feedbands crew is about us. So many undercover (albeit conspicuous) reps/friends/whatever trying to convince us they're legit. So flattering.
  3. love reading through threads that drew, toki, and travis are drooling over. gets me pumped for records like nothing else.
  4. I wish there COULD be a US distributor for a /500 album like that. psh. Dang, I've been talking about this album for the last few weeks with some friends--hoping it would get pressed. Here it is and it's just too darn much
  5. Really? I find it almost opposite. The lasting value of TDS releases is amazing to me. It's difficult to "show TDS to a friend" because it does sound pretty run-of-the-mill at first listen. War Paint, for instance, I think is a gem as whole. The onslaught of drummy choruses and almost lack of dynamic from beginning to end is a lot of what makes it beautiful. It took me a whiiiiillle to love that record. Golden Record has hit me harder on the first few listens, but it'll just keep getting better. As I catch on to more harmonies, subtle strumming patterns, drum fills, and especially the heartfelt lyrics, I always grow to love anything TDS more and more and more. I do love how distinctly the dangerous summer everything they put out is. It's amazing how close this band hangs out to the normal, average, pop-rock band, but truly sounds nothing like it.
  6. eating popcorn and whatnot blah blah blah too lazy to go get the gif ya know we all know let's just laugh together
  7. FYI (fo y'alls informacion), Death Cab - Plans actually shipped for me. Weird. Was using it as a surefire code, but got one. Blue Sky Noise is still getting canceled for me though. What else is happenin?
  8. So the "solid orange" I got isn't one of the variants. Do we know what they're calling the color of this HT variant is? It's gotta be grey putty or red putty. Assuming we're looking at Red Putty, but it's not the least limited variant, which would presumably be the one that goes to retail. Thoughts? Edit: I see it on Victory's page. "Orange Putty /1000" Part of the 2nd pressing, right?
  9. I feel like you guys are both just enough right. I mean, only a few people were around to know what these songs may have sounded like pre-yip, so I can't say for sure. But it's definitely true that Citizen's sound changed from album to album (doubt that was 100% the band with no production influence). Also true that you can tell who produced the new B&C song without being told. Just some thoughts.
  10. I just saw a promoted tweet in my timeline from feedbands...
  11. I do love no sleep, but gotta go HT on this one. Slept on the coolest variant, so I'll stick with the zero shipping option
  12. Ok, anyone tried Death Cab - Plans or Bright Eyes - Digital Ash recently? Both backordered. Wondering if they're shipping or not. Blue Sky Noise and Pretty Odd are both unavailable now. Looking for another surefire code.
  13. Let me know who you make the trade with... and your addresses... and give me a heads up when you're walking to your mailboxes...
  14. Last 2 posts ARE SPOT ON Edit: I lied. First post about don't blink being the only good song is spot on but then the part about hoping he doesn't write with a bunch of nonsense pop stars again is also spot on. Spot on. What a stupid phrase lol
  15. just went and relistened to that collapsible lung song that the guy up top raved about in the review. ugh. in no way does this save the record. even with the "redeeming" lyrics, it still sounds like some weird band that has a one-hit wonder for 3 weeks and is never heard from again (except not that good). I can't stand when bands I love release stuff this far from what I want because I make myself listen to it to stay caught up on the discography.
