Way excited for this. Chuck mentioned the album to me and a friend this past (early) spring at a show in Canada. He asked us not to go "all internet" on it, because it wasn't 'officially' going to happen. But looks like it is now, and that's wicked awesome. He said Fallon and he had been trading song ideas/lyrics back and forth for about a month, so based on that the record has been in the works since very early this year. He made it sound like they would be co-writing songs together, but didn't mention if they would be performing seperate or together. Promises to be good. Glad it's really happening.

I understand. It's not like the color of the vinyl they were supposed to press is in the title of the-... oh, wait.

Just saw him open for Frank Turner on Saturday, and had never heard him before. He put on one hell of a set. Didn't have enough $$ to buy a LP at the show, but thanks for posting this link so I can grab one or two. He had his foot mic'd up using a drum mic, simply brilliant. Iowa Bluegrass Punk FTW

just a general moving tip- When I had to move I packed my records flat and in boxes for a day or two. I was also worried, so I took all the gatefold LPs/LPs with thicker spines and packed them on the top of the stack. Then I took the LPs with "flatter" jackets and put them on the bottom. This helped keep the spines from getting smashed flat.

I am the lucky guy to get this . Joe was so cool for doing this for me, i knew it was going to be awesome, i just wasn't prepared for the level of awesome of it attained. Joe does amazing work, as you can see, so if you want something totally unique for you collection/tests I suggest shooting him an email. he's very professional and keeps you in the loop on progress. this box looks great on my shelf with the rest of my collection, and it has become the #1 thing I show people when they browse my records, and their reaction is pretty much the same as everyone on here's. I even was able to grab the Hot Damn! test press from the last VC sale about a week before I got the box in the mail. So my TP collection is complete, and can now be stored in a box worthy of the rock they contain. so thanks again, joe, and I really really hope other people will take advantage of your amazing ability and contact you for more projects. and no I don't care about the lyric thing. i didn't even know they were incorrect until it was pointed out. but like I said, I don't care.

both teams did not play well overall, or how we've come to expect them to play during these playoffs. For the Pens i really do think it was more of a mental block, they seemed much more on the ball with their actual play, but after their own goalie knocked 2 in, there has to be some mental pressure that begins to be felt. And also, even though they added some good older talent, they are still a relatively young team. sure they made it to the finals last year, but the wings have made it there 5 times in the last 11 years. i think there is still the "finals mystique" that the younger pens need to conquer. As for the wings, i couldn't tell you how many time i covered my mouth the muffle a curse when they gave up the puck, made one too many passes, or didn't finish their checks, or didnt keep it in the zone. I think they were feeling out the Pens that game, seeing just how far they had come skill wise from last year. and let's be honest, they've gotten a lot better. and that put detroit on their heels for a good chunk of the game. i think in the end it came down to 3 things: 1. Good Ozzy showing up 2 Nervous Fleury showing up 3. the JLA end-boards remember last year when the wings shut them out for the first two games? yeah, wings fans know this Pens team is getting better and better. however i do believe that with the right mix of coaching from Babcock, and the grit that the 3rd and 4th lines of the wings, that detroit will ultimately have the answer for the pens. but it's going to be an uphill battle every game.
