  1. I'm gonna laugh when the lot of you get five copies each as a result of overreacting to the initial claims of its limited nature/being oversold.
  2. That's kind of what I keep holding out for... the pink vinyl sales tapered off the last few days, and with this beer color in the mix I wouldn't be surprised to see a US variant soon. Fingers crossed!
  3. https://www.banquetrecords.com/the-menzingers/on-the-impossible-past/epitmenz 500 on beer here for slightly cheaper.
  4. Jesus. What a load of work. I think I remember seeing this around the time it came out. Mega props, though.
  5. Got-dammit! Well, thanks for the heads up - will be just ordering the stateside purple.
  6. Did you order the US version? I just ordered the UK version because I wanted that coloring book, but if it comes with the US I might as well just cancel and get it from here.
  7. Apparently he hated doing that. There's a really interesting interview where Mike Herrera talks about being in Goldfinger with Darren Pfeiffer. It's on his podcast, but it goes all into Feldmann's controlling nature and kind of gives some insight into why the band is what it is now.
  8. Well fuck me sideways! I guess I always assumed the guys from Goldfinger were older and therefore around longer. My comment about the influence was more of a joke than reality, but I think debating on where people picked up certain influences is a fruitless endeavor because it's all subjective and whatever. I do think they took a crazy nosedive after Stomping Ground, which was a perfect record. I could probably jam San Simeon every day for the rest of my life and never tire of it. If anything I just hope they tour down in Texas again so I can watch Feldmann go off. He was always one of my favorite frontmen.
  9. Well, I didn't think they could make a worse album cover than the new Flatliners record, but Rise done gone and proven me wrong with this one! Almost looks like it was drafted up in MS Paint, slightly tweaked, and then set to print. Song is tight, though. Sounds like what I'd imagine Goldfinger would sound like after losing all the original members and recruiting members of Story of the Year, MxPx, and Blink-182. Also producing every band that has the "pop-punk" label attached to it. Although it could be said that Goldfinger pre-dated all those bands and, therefore, have influenced themselves through the bands that they've influenced. How's that for some meta pop-punk shit?
  10. I'm going to be pretty annoyed if there isn't a US variant for this...
  11. That's what's been so great about the Vagrant represses. No frills, reasonably(ish) priced, and all the ones I've received have been top notch.
  12. Every person that's embarked on that mission has wound up dead within 24 hours of doing so.
  13. Yea, I listened to this record through yesterday and was much more pleased than I thought I'd be. The Adolescence EP was not my jam, but this is a solid 32 minutes of pop-punk glory. 14. Such buzzkills, the lot of you! I figure bands probably just think it's fun, and it becomes a part of the creative output as a whole. And they definitely have to enjoy seeing people champing at the bit for new music.
  15. The packaging on this is great, and they come in resealable sleeves! Woohoo! The vinyl itself feels 180 gram (I got the white), and sounds fantastic. Probably the best overall package I've ever received from Epitaph outside of the Euro Touché Amoré.
  16. Yea, I just didn't want to give off the impression that I was calling Bull Moose a "big bad player" in the grand scheme of things. And they generally deliver on their promises, so this was probably just an unfortunate side effect of the problems plaguing the hobby. 1. Flippers 2. Overzealous stores 3. A band only pressing however the fuck many copies of a legendary recording. Given the response to the limited nature of the "Burn the Witch" 7", tack on the popularity of the white pressing of AMSP (both not legendary but oh-so-good), and I think those numbers should be way higher. And perhaps they are? Only time will tell. 4. When announcing sales/pre-orders/etc... all details should be given up front. If, for any reason, some details are not missing, then the pre-sale should not be offered until all is said and done. I get that this can also be a marketing tactic, but good god damn this kind of shit gets tiring. When all is said and done, I will definitely be buying this album on black, hopefully on blue as well. It's just that if I don't get the blue I might as well take that amount and put it toward the deluxe. Just wanted to share some random thoughts on this whole process, as it really has been kind of interesting to see how this all pans out.
  17. I'm not in the industry, so I'm not sure... and there is never a full "guarantee" on anything in life. However, if the need be, maybe they just wait until they have them in hand? I doubt distributors change allotments all that much, but if that is the case then most of these stores should just wait until they're in hand. At least Bullmoose doesn't charge until they're shipping their orders!
  18. Yea, I pretty much only order from Bullmoose and never called them an evil giant. However, I do think that any store regardless of size or "evilness" should look into guaranteed allocation before putting things online.
  19. This is definitely an interesting situation and I think it provides a lot of insight into the current state of the vinyl industry/problems that happen on both the consumer and supplier. To be honest, I really hope that the Radiohead camp caught wind of this, realized the fiasco that ensued, and cut back on supply being sent to these major online retailers in an effort to get these to physical brick and mortar stores. #inaperfectworld
  20. Same boat. I'd have probably sprung for the tan, but that looks to be tour only.
