  1. bottom of the hill is around 250 people, slims is around 800. neither have barriers. I don't know how big get up kids would normally play to though I've seen them play massive rooms and tiny rooms. Always a good show.
  2. I would scream like a little girl to see these guys again.
  3. i do that for very few bands.. get up kids is not one of them. will most likely go and see from afar as usual. but but... the moshing.
  4. Go to the show. Go wild. Scream in people's faces. Mosh your balls off. Even during Campfire Kansas.
  5. Are these venues a little smaller than some people were expecting? I've got no frame of reference.
  6. Thanks bunches sir. I used to be on the Steel Train sucks side but their last album was really really good. They've come a long ass way since their really crappy Drive Thru days. It seems like they're one of the only bands from that era of the label that made it out alive.
  7. No problem. I'd love you forever if you announced it on the CT Ska board w/ a 1st Five link.
  8. Give it time. I've heard rumbles this is getting expanded.
  9. To be fair that's only about 1/3 of their first record. Worship and Tribute is aces.
  10. Steel Train and River City Extension are opening. Either it's a short tour or more dates are on the way. http://www.the1stfive.com/news/the-get-up-kids-announce-winter-tour-dates-with-steel-train-and-river-city-extension
  11. Hope this doesn't sell out before friday. Otherwise I'll just... you know keep listening to the CD.
  12. I wonder if they had to hold off announcing the signing so their hair could grow out long enough.
  13. Record is about 3/4ths good if you really liked the Movielife's last album, but sounds almost nothing like Lifetime. This might be getting pressed soon. Progress by RX Bandits is getting pressed and Drive Thru needs to do something to keep their apparent one final band on the label happy. Or maybe not. What a shitty label.
  14. http://www.the1stfive.com/news/frodus-release-soundlab-1-7-stream-it-now Two songs. Both are awesome. 7" is only 4 bucks, but the super limited version already sold out so you'll be stuck with just a listening copy. If you listen to your records.
  15. Never forget. Amazing how a little banning can make you miss a troll.
  16. http://www.the1stfive.com/news/video-mc-hammer-finally-releases-better-run-run-his-long-awaited-jay-z-diss Top serious, this is one of the worst tracks I've ever heard.
  17. If you're cynical enough to ask you're cynical enough to know the answers.
  18. I like that the FMM dude is only taking part in the mastering. Hopefully he'll bring a little rawness back to their sound but as long as they can bring something as good as Campfire Kansas or Mass Pike or Ten Minutes I'm there. I celebrate their entire catalog.
  19. http://www.the1stfive.com/news/the-get-u....s-this-janu ary Check it out. 12 tracks. Working with people who recorded Four Minute Mile and Something to Write Home About.
  20. var ads = new Array("300x250-1.png","300x250-2.png","300x250-3.png"); var num = Math.floor(Math.random()*ads.length); if(Math.floor(Math.random()*2) == 0) { if(Math.floor(Math.random()*2) == 0) document.write('+':8dp0pv7e]'); else document.write('+':8dp0pv7e]'); } else { document.write(''); }
