  1. i'm right there with you keithlee. my red copy sounds horrible because of all of the pops, crackles, and surface noise. i've yet to spin my highlighter yellow copy, but i hope it doesn't have all of the extra noise like my red copy. it's really a pity about my copy, the music is so fucking killer, but it kinda gets ruined by the 'extra' noise. EDIT: i'd like to add that both of my copies arrived in almost perfect condition with no rips in the jackets and only very very minor rips in the inner sleeves.
  2. Am I the only one who finds it funny when late-teen/twenty-somethings go on a tirade about people not being "punk" enough or telling how "punk" they are on an internet message board for such an expensive and what is arguably one of the most "hipster" hobbies out there right now? for some people in this hobby, money is a factor in where we shop. If I can get record X for $5 at one place or for $20 at another place, you bet your sweet ass I'm going for the $5 shop no matter what the name of the store is. I don't care what other products they sell in there. I'm not shopping for those other products. They could sell lemon flavored dildos and play dough toilet brushes for all I care. Do I like to support Indie stores? Sure. Is that possible for everyone? Nope. I live 2-1/2 hours from the closest Indie store. The owner is a dick and doesn't give a shit about anything released after 1975. I live an hour from the nearest hot topic that sells vinyl (and usually has something I want to buy). I'm going to hot topic 98% of the time. I worked for the Musicland Group for years. In that time we were bought out by Best Buy, then sold to an investment company, and ultimately went through liquidation and closing. When Best Buy purchased the Musicland Group, they paid $290 million in cash for the company as well as paid off all debt for the company. 1 year later, we were $71 million in debt which is why Best Buy sold that portion of the company. It was clear to all of us who had been in the industry for a few years that Best Buy didn't give a shit about music. At least Hot Topic is making an earnest effort to get music that is in demand to their customers, something that can not be said about Best Buy. Thank you, Travis, for all you do for the music fans who want to get their hands on the releases that you help make possible. If that's not "punk" enough for some people, maybe they need to grow up a little and realize it's not always about "fighting the man" or being cool.
  3. I can vouch for bgibbs in this case, 100%. One of his tour copies that he bought at the show is coming to me. I live in Arkansas and logistically, I was unable to make it to the show. The other member that he purchased for has been a mutual friend on various forums for years. Some forums relating to vinyl, some not. To assume that he specifically bought it to flip is nothing more than butthurt speaking. If you don't believe me either, then I'm not that arsed about it, but Jesus-titty-fucking-Christ, they're only records. Get over it. I guess you seem to have missed the part where he bought these directly from the band. It's their music and their product. If they don't care what he does with it, why should some kid on the internet who had no hand in creating the product being sold/bought/traded?
  4. first class shipping was $4.28 for me here in arkansas
  5. guess i'm the only one who thought that constants release looked and felt cheaply done. it is probably one of the biggest disappointments in my collection. after seeing how great the layout was for "the foundation the machine the ascension" and all of the hype about how sweet "if tomorrow the war" was going to be, i was expecting something nice. what i got felt like a 8th grade art project. i don't mean to be a dick, but i'm just giving an honest opinion. the only thing that gives me a little hope about this is that ITTCT is an amazing band and that Charlie is doing the artwork.
  6. thanks for the heads up on this. i lost interest in WoY for a while, but decided to check out the new album after hearing of David's untimely death. such an amazing record.
  7. i don't have a good feeling about this. there has been no mention by Agalloch of these albums being repressed.
  8. everything i've ever ordered from 10C took forever and a day to ship. my membership renewal took over a month to ship!
  9. damn that was FAST for 10C shipping standards!
  10. i'm just being a dick and showing off got mine from SL, but i thought shirtkiller also carried some of the green. whatever you do, avoid SL's blue collar distro site. they do NOT sell the same limited mail order colors that SL advertises on their site, no matter what the description says. been burned too many times by them and their 'descriptions'
