  1. I saw them tonight as well, they were great.

I would listen to Pale Horses first. It will give you a great idea of the band's softest and loudest moments, as well as fill you in on where they're at currently. I would say upon first listen or two it may be the easiest to "get into" of all their records. Other people might tell you 'Catch For Us the Foxes' or 'Brother, Sister' are better albums, and they very well might be right. I would give a listen to all three if the band interests you in anyway.

  2. I haven't read every post in this thread yet but wanted to make a few things clear.

    - When I defended the band on Tumblr, I was referring to their shit talking of Pitchfork. Should I have been defending them at all? Definitely not. I had never (and still have never) seen the band say the word "faggot" or post anything transphobic until last night. That doesn't excuse the other stupid and offensive things they have said, but at one point in my life I felt that we had so many bands, and worked with so many individual people, that it was fundamentally impossible for everyone to have opinions in line with my own. This was a very naive and even harmful outlook to have. I realized that is not the way to approach these sort of situations and that as soon as anyone feels unsafe, marginalized, disrespected, threatened, or unaccepted, that whatever is happening is not ok.

    - All Whirr and Camera Shy merchandise will be removed from our store, we're working on it.

    - This is not a PR stunt. We are not dropping them to save face. We are not ceasing to work with them because of the hate we got on twitter, we simply hadn't seen the bands tweets yet until we were notified by the general public. We would have made this exact decision on our own, although the thousands of people tweeting at us definitely made it happen faster.

If you have any questions, comments, or simply want to talk about this with me, please feel free to email me. [email protected]. I will respond to everyone so don't feel that your time may be wasted.

    Thank you.

  3. I have that much to spare, but not much past that. How are they being done? Did I see somewhere it was 2 albums on 1 LP because they were short? Not familiar with the band much so I'm not sure what exactly is going on.

I Will Be My Own Hell LP has the album on side A, and the B side is b-sides from the same time period the album was written

DC Snuff Film / Waste Yrself has the corresponding EP of each name on Side A/B as well as b-sides from each time period as well.

  5. Thanks Rambo, that was exactly my point. I didn't come here to cause issue, and yes, I do agree that I am not owed or deserve anything for this error. But now that the issue is known, regardless of where along the line the error was made, the description should probably be changed since it's still available for sale as far as I can tell. But at the end of the day I don't run a label.

This is where the root of my issue comes in and just judging from some emails I've gotten from labels about having to change variants before, I imagine you're probably right about. Isn't this bologna? I just imagine ordering a hamburger specifically with no cheese, being given a cheeseburger, then being made to pay for the replacement. Or alternatively, not having to pay for it but being sent to the back of the line only to wait from the start all over again. I think that's silly, and causes a domino effect to the label and then to us who both don't deserve that.

I think we're all on the same side here for the most part. And just to reiterate--I have no problem with Topshelf at all.

Not how it works. There is no guarantee on how vinyl is going to come out. It is pretty much an inherent aspect of the process. When a hamburger is made it is very easy to either add, or not add an ingredient.
