  1. And if all you wanted was "Love is Blindness" it was the b-side to "Sixteen Saltines" that was released last year on record store day and is still readily available. It is the track that is the "playable etching" of the Third Man logo.
  2. What are you risking? If you want the item as a collector, there is no "risk". The only risk is if you are flipping it.
  3. I think there will be many people who will buy this only to flip, and that some will make decent money doing it, but that being said, the profit margin on this will be a lot lower on this than most other products being bought out of nashville. The flippers like to camp out and hire bums to stand in line for them, buy 3-4 or more of the featured record for $15-20 each and then get $300 each for them the same day. This requires a lot more capitol, without the same guarantee of return.
  4. If you are in Nashville, why not go down and pick it up in person? You'd save yourself the cost of shipping.
  5. Couldn't they give the deluxe version it's own catalog number instead of 222M? As someone working on a collection to obtain every catalog number version available, how about 223? The Rome deluxe got its own number (that I am still trying to track down). Grr.
  6. There is definitely a predetermined amount of these. Swank wrote in the vault section of the site that these would be available starting on Friday, and would be available until they sold out. He then made the comment "unless they sell out on Friday". It didn't sound like Third Man necessarily thought these would sell out today. I'll bet there are at least 1000 of these sets, but I doubt we will ever find out.
  7. I feel like I am quite patient with most things, but this is getting frustrating.
  8. Agreed. I cannot even get this into my cart. It times out over and over.
  9. I know it will probably take a few days to get all of these out, but the peace of mind of having a shipping confirmation would be nice. Hoping for one soon!
  10. My copy preordered from Amazon was on red, the same as every other picture or description seen in this thread.
  11. Got mine from Amazon today. I thought I had read somewhere on here that it came with a download code. Well, my copy didn't. Hope all of you get your copies from Amazon soon.
  12. I think most people who pursued a refund didn't get their money back. I tried to get a refund from both RJ and PayPal for quite awhile to no avail.
  13. Email with mp3 received today (as a non record club subscriber). Looking forward to giving this a listen tonight.
  14. I was thinking about this too. It probably rivals the total of the first pressing, but because Epic didn't release pressing info (to my knowledge) there wasn't a real (or imagined) frenzy surrounding getting a copy.
  15. I guess I'm still surprised to be seeing this repressed as the original pressing is still quite available (including on the band's King's Road Merch site). I know it has the bonus tracks and everything, but still seems like an interesting selection for SRC to go after. That being said, I'm in for a red.
  16. Went to my local store last night to see if they had any loser editions. They had 2 copies on the shelf, but neither had a sticker on them (i.e. gold loser edition, silver standard edition). Anyone seen this? I wondered if they just peeled the silver sticker off if they didn't get any loser editions or got tired of people asking if they were the colored edition and staff knew they weren't.
  17. That price. $330 is ridiculous. Over $60 more than Amazon. Smash cut to a year from now when seeing these for less than $400-500 will be a bargain.
  18. Everyone paid tax to AIR. I thought that was a little suspect. I paid a flat $10 in tax to AIR and I'm in Utah. I've thought of emailing them and asking why I paid them sales tax, an even $10 no less. I do realize that being in California you probably paid substantially more than $10 however.
  19. It sounds like if you don't get to the RRS before Coachella starts, (April 12) you are going to miss out on any kind of limited release. Should be lots of shot glasses, belt buckles, and viewfinders still available though.
  20. Haven't had any problems with mine. My set up has had as many lps as would fit into a cube for several years. Doesn't even begin to show any signs of sagging. Others may have had different experiences, but I plan on buying a bigger expedit in the near future. Very pleased with mine.
