  1. That's what I figured. Just weird that there's no option to choose size and it specified medium in the message there. Oh well. I have too many t-shirts anyway haha. Just would have been cool to get a Dispatch one for free.
  2. Just tried checking out using the promo code for the mystery shirt and got this. How do you even choose what size you get? I never chose medium or had any option to choose the size. The code didn't seem to even do anything until I clicked submit order and then I got this error. The item Mystery Item in the size M has been removed from your cart. The quantity was zero or it has gone out of stock.
  3. I dig both of the songs that have been released so far. Really looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. I didn't really have any expectations for this album. I think it's kinda silly to expect an album to be an AOTY contender before you even hear it simply because you really like the band's past works.
  4. New single released today. http://consequenceofsound.net/2013/11/listen-to-the-loud-crunch-of-mansions-new-single-if-youre-leaving/
  5. The record isn't out yet, but they did put up a couple of demos recently on their bandcamp. Check em out. Also give them a like on Facebook if you dig it. https://ghosthousenj.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/ghosthousemusic
  6. Fair enough. That understandable. I like more fleshed out comments like that rather than just saying you're simply disappointed. I too like their previous three albums because of his vocal flare. However, I have heard that, like other vocalists, he needed to change his vocal style to save his vocal cords from being destroyed. Regardless of whether that is the case or not, I do like it when bands switch things up a bit and try to expand upon their sound or simply try something new. It may not be as good as previous albums, but I try not to expect bands to continue in a certain direction and that way I am not disappointed when something like this happens and I simply enjoy it for what it is even if I don't enjoy it as much as previous works.
  7. He changed his vocals and they changed their style slightly....therefore it sucks and is disappointing. Whatevs. People are entitled to their opinions, but that's just the impression that I get. I did get the Saves The Day vibe at the beginning of the song but not so much later on. I do like it, but I think it drags a little bit with the repeated lyrics over the last minute of the song. Other than that, pretty good.
  8. This is true and I agree. But I can understand Kickstarter backers being frustrated because they are the reason that these albums were funded/made and they feel that because of that they deserve to be the first ones with their hands on the product. And technically they were in terms of the digital album. Vinyl is obviously different and the Kickstarter records experienced delays as many records do, so the backers just need to be aware that there is much less control over when people get the physical version compared to the digital version. They just need to understand that and be okay with it. Patience young grasshoppers.
  9. Unfortunately I am heading to NYC today to see Frightened Rabbit and am staying overnight in Brooklyn and I will be busy tomorrow evening as well. I can probably upload some pics late Saturday night or sometime on Sunday. For now you can check out this picture that the band sent me when they first messaged me back in September on Facebook.
  10. Fiiiiiiiiiiinally got this in the mail yesterday. They had finally responded me via Facebook on Sept 18th telling me to message back with my address because apparently they didn't have it through Kickstarter. I did so the same day and didn't receive anything for almost a month. Messaged them on the 16th of October asking what the deal was. Never got a response but lo and behold yesterday it finally arrived. So I have to assume they scrambled and sent it out the day of or the next day after I sent that message. I am spinning it for the first time right now and it does sound good. However the packaging is a bit odd. Instead of a gatefold for the two discs it's housed in two separate single sleeve jackets each with the same basic screenprinted art with the band name and album title. I guess the money they raised wasn't enough to do what they really wanted. Who knows. All I really care about is the music anyway. I wasn't expecting anything extravagant in terms of packaging. They did send a thank you note with the record as well which had an apology for the massive delay. They also included a bunch of goodies, like 5 or 6 limited CDs of their previous works as well as a live CD. So that's all pretty cool I suppose. They also included the t-shirt that was part of the package I paid for on Kickstarter, though it is the wrong size so I'll have to see if I can get the right size from them with the poster which they said will ship separately at some other point in time. Who knows when. Also they said they would be sending me a copy of a 7" they are putting out at the end of this year. Not holding my breath for it to be ready by then lol. Anyway, just thought I'd fill everyone in. Just glad to own the record. Hopefully the t-shirt and poster and 7" will work out as well. Edit: I should also add that the two jackets are not identical. Only the front is. They do have the track listing for each side on the back of each (A and B on the back of disc one's jacket and C on the back of disc 2's jacket) as well as some artwork/picture of the band and the band's autographs on the back of the second jacket. Also the D side is blank. The grooves do take up a lot of the space on all 3 sides, but I think the music sounds fine. I guess maybe it would have cost more to spread it out and press the D side? I don't really know. Either way, just FYI.
  11. I can understand people feeling this way. I was in the same boat at first but after several listens I came to the same realization that it seems Drew Beringer did in his review of Some Nights.
  12. My order had been cancelled 6 days ago. I emailed Triple Crown like Evan tweeted to do and they responded saying "First off very sorry for all the confusion, working with merchdirect to figure out a solution. We'll get back you shortly." That was 5 days ago. So hopefully I'll hear back about a solution sometime this week or next hopefully. Fingers crossed.
  13. I got the transparent dark blue as well last night. Looks so nice! I think there was some black or very dark blue smoke in there too. When I asked about what color they had they said they had about 12 of the transparent dark blue left. I got mine right before Touche's set, so they likely sold out of them after the show unless they were only selling a limited amount that night and are saving some for some for their other tour dates.
  14. That's awesome that you got a splatter. I have to think there wasn't just one lone record laying around there and you ended up getting the very last one. Seems like they always sporadically put more stock up. If you did then props on snagging it. If it's not the last one then fuck MerchDirect for being greasy as fuck. If there are any more leftovers they should not be put back in stock, but obviously should go to the people who had their orders cancelled. I hope Triple Crown can help out.
  15. Same exact thing happened to me. Also ordered early. Fucking bullshit. Tweeted at Triple Crown, Merch Direct and Evan about it. Evan responded saying he will get to the bottom of it.

  17. Looks like the Rolling Record Store is back this Fall! http://thirdmanrecords.com/news/view/rolling-record-store-fall-tour
  18. I got mine after IIOI's set, but I saw people buying it at the end of the show as well. I may be wrong, but I'm assuming they aren't taking them with them to Japan and Europe, so that's 21 shows with the vinyl and 400 total. That comes out to about 19 per night. And Boston was a sold out show, so it doesn't seem like it will be difficult to get one later on in the show or at the end. And no, Saves The Day just had CDs.
  19. I got this tonight as well. Totally forgot to ask if they're limiting how many they're selling per night, but there was a sign that said the gold is out of 400. Also, spoiler alert, the picture doesn't do justice to the booklet, which you can barely see has the album title on it by spot gloss. The lyrics and song titles on the inner pages of the booklet are all spot gloss as well. Makes for challenging reading but looks pretty damn sweet.
