  1. Thanks everyone! I knew there were a lot of sports lovers out there on the board, so it's rad to be able to be excited with people who share your interests. Hahahaha, Colin's office is across the hall from my studio. I see him every day and pretty much everyone I know tells me to punch him in the balls about something he's said. He's actually a really really nice guy, but I know he doesn't always have the most popular of opinions. Do any of you listen to any of the ESPN podcasts? I'd love to hear what you like or don't like about them.
  2. I've been an intern there since Sept 16, and I was lucky enough to come at a time where the person who basically trained me was moving onto another department. So so so stoked!! My job will be the same thing as my internship, which is updating the espnradio.com website on a daily basis and producing a good number of podcasts (Fantasy Underground, His and Hers w/ Michael Smith and Jemele Hill, Behind The Bets, Behind The Dish, Marty & McGee, etc). I've been so blessed to have worked with so many amazing people since I started, and now I'll be able to continue working with them! So freaking stoked!! This is part of what I was hoping would happen... find a real "big kid" job that will help me pay the bills and allow me to slowly start working on pressing more records that I love. Just wanted to share with all the other sports fans out there!
  3. The extra tracks should be Two Dollar Typewriter, She Left Me For A Cop, Porch Waltz, and Tapered D... I really like Two Dollar Typewriter a lot, I was wishing we could get that as a bonus on BHBE, but it'll be tough time wise. It doesn't necessarily mean that no T&N records won't be licensed, it just means that licensing will go through EMI from now on (which makes it more difficult, not like T&N was a cake walk). I was talking with Matt from Emery this week and they're (Emery / Bad Christian) trying to license The Weak's End and The Question to press on vinyl because they know there's a demand for it and they never saw any copies of TWE and they didn't even know it existed until it was already sold out. He said it's been a hassle, but they really want to be able to make it happen, so they're hopefully they can work something out. Something To Break is definitely hoping to do more Chris Staples stuff though. So stay tuned to the forum or like us on Facebook in order to keep up with all the vinyl action we're doing with Chris.
  4. Psychology, sadly, will never be pressed. Now that the T&N catalog has been sold, it'll cost far too much to license and there would be no way that a label could make their money back... If I win the lottery and I have money to burn, I'll gladly make that happen, but it's just not realistic to think that the sales would cover the cost of licensing and production. I've thought about pressing Badlands, Chris and I wanted to focus on American Soft and Blackest Hair first. It's something that we'd like to do down the road, but it'll be tough to sell enough copies to really make it worth it. Hopefully we can get a good response from BHBE to make it more of a possibility. We're also getting a portion of the Faces EP to sell in our store. Fly the Light has handled that whole project and after we decided to tag team BHBE with them, they was kind enough to include us in their plans for that album. The Burned and Blistered EP is contained within the Blackest Hair, Bluest Eyes album that we'll be releasing at the beginning of the year. We're really stoked at the variant that we'll be able to offer you guys (think it's a perfect fit), and we're hoping to have a little something extra that could be ordered with the album (if you like that kind of bonus content stuff). As for everything else he's done... El Libro De Recuerdos and everything Twothirtyeight related is basically lost (just like Psychology). Donkey and Deer would be interesting to offer as a bonus 7" with something. Panama and Burned and Blistered became BHBE, and that really only leaves Songs For Sale EP. We're slowly making our way through the discography!
  5. I have this as well. Jumped on it when I saw it for sale at my local record store.
  6. Normally the digital download code for the album would be physically be included with your record... however, I'm currently interning at ESPN in Bristol, CT so I don't have all of my equipment with me (basically just records, bubble wrap, and mailers). If you've recently purchased the record, you have been emailed a digital download code to the email account associated with your paypal. Sorry for the hassle!
  7. Chris and I split the shipment of 500. So I only know the sales on our end. We now have 2 splatters, 12 white, and right around 100 black left. We're setting aside a handful of the remaining black variant aside to bundle with the Blackest Hair, Bluest Eyes 10th Anniversary release that we'll be doing with Fly The Light Records at the beginning of the year. Once we get closer, we'll make a separate thread for that with all of the bonus stuff that we're going to offer with it.
  8. Hello friends! We wanted to let you know that we've only got 9 copies of the clear w/ white and blue splatter variant left. It was pressed out of 100 and once they're gone, they're gone forever! We're also down to 12 of the alpine white variant! Don't sleep on these! Also, in honor of my niece being born tonight, they're on sale! $10 for the LP and $25 for the bundle!
  9. This is a daily lineup league eh? I assumed it was weekly. Definitely gonna spend some time setting my lineup for the next couple weeks just to be safe.
  10. I'm Detroit Rock City! I'm pretty pleased with my big men, but I've basically given up on the FT category already.
  11. Does this mean we need 1 more to make it 10? I think I have someone who will join and actively participate if we need one. He's a VC lurker, not a poster though. Don't know if that defeats the purpose. I can make him sign up if I need to.
  12. I ordered this from Sub Pop and my little brother just called me to tell me that they sent two of them... I double checked and I was only charged for one! Lucky day for me.
  13. For those wanting to get some extra tips, this is the latest ESPN Fantasy Basketball podcast. Not sure when we're gonna start doing these on a regular basis again, but it won't be too long. Probably within the next few weeks, hopefully before our draft.
  14. I'm down! I'm on the website every day, multiple times a day, so it makes it way easier for me to actively participate. Does it count as cheating if I'm the one recording the fantasy basketball podcasts that you guys listen to?
  15. So stoked on this. Thank you for the heads up! Excited to see what the Loser Edition will look like.
  16. I tweeted him early today and he told me these are being pressed at United. FYI.
  17. I spy TDAGRIM hanging on his wall one spot up and to the right from Daisy. What a waste. This guy shouldn't be allowed to order any more records.
  18. Also, if someone wants to split the VIP package for the NYC show, let me know. I'd be down to go in half and half with someone.
  19. Thought some of you guys would enjoy this. I don't know if all of the tickets will be VIP, or if there are only a few of these being made available to these shows. Either way, I'm stoked to walk down memory lane by catching this. Just grabbed a ticket to the NYC show. Check out ticket packages here: The Weak's End 10 Year Anniversary
  20. Hey guys, I'm getting ready to move to Bristol, CT for an internship and I could use some extra money for the trip there. I don't have a ton of stuff, but I'd love to be able to sell you some records. Most of these have only had a spin or two. Obviously, the more your buy the better the deal. Add $4 to all prices for shipping in the US. Thanks! 12" Copeland - Eat, Sleep Repeat (180gm black or clear/black swirl) - $20 Alkaline Trio - Agony & Irony 2xLP (Red) - $20 Say Anything - In Defense of the Genre (180gm Black) - $18 Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends (2nd Press Translucent Orange) - $22 Taking Back Sunday - We Play Songs - $12 Rival Schools - Found - $15 Pianos Become The Teeth - The Lack Long After (3rd Press Clear) - $12 Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus - $12 Moving Mountains - New Light - $10 Moving Mountains - Forward (RSD Black /200) - $12 The Jealous Sound - A Gentle Reminder - $12 Hawkboy - Hawkboy/King Folly (Opaque Green) - $12 10" Fun - The Ghost That You Are To Me (RSD Gear Shape) - $24 The Decemberists - Long Live The King - $8 7" Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Possess Your Heart - $5 Thrice/Thursday - Under A Killing Moon/For The Work Force Drowning - $5
  21. I've always wanted one of these, though I always figured I get better sound out of my current setup then I would out of one of these. It just looks so cool though... Great find for $32! At best, you could hot rod the speakers and the TT into something useable. At worst, it's a brilliant piece of furniture.
