I had pretty much loved every rhp/mk/skm release until ATL, which I loved a couple songs off of (young love, black kite) . When benji came out I gave it a try, and it just didn't click. I hated the new style. Then a few years later I revisted it, and it clicked. Still some forgettable songs/lyrics on there, but it was focused. Now his stuff is not focused. The stream of counciousness stuff isn't working. I think that's my main issue. I would hold on to his records, though. I've heard him say a few times that he will not repress any of the Caldo Verde stuff as he "doesn't want them to be in thrift stores someday". Of course that could change, but it's a risk with him being such an old stubborn man now.

I love this album. Definitely was influenced by early springsteen.

Another great album from elbow. Can confirm the indie colored variant plays at 33rpm.

Can't wait for this set. Comes out to 15 each single, with shipping included, which is around the same price as if they were sold one at a time on pax am. Let alone the cool extras included. Easy purchase.

So according to vinyl films 150 were pressed total. He listed 25 signed copies on Caldo Verde, although my signed has /50 written on the back. I'm not sure if he had them on tour or not either. Plus it seems they only had 5 or so tops at a time on these sites. It seems very likely they had 50+ in a box leftover.

Got a shipping notification from MS ! The hunt is over. It does make me happy so many of you are hunting down AFP. That album is a masterpiece, IMO. It was not received well from a lot of fans when it came out.

There is a lot of AFP, Benji, and Perils records on eBay right now. I wonder if it has something to do with this crazy kozelek record find lately? Lol

It could be just that. The pressing quality was off so maybe he just destroyed remaining stock.

Just got a cancellation email from bullmoose for benji. They apparently received it wrong. So the hunt continues.

That is an awesome find! I had to pony up $150 for a sealed copy on discogs, around the same time '08 or '09 . How I afforded that while making, I think, $8.50 an hour, and paying bills is another story lol.
