  1. Figured you might have updated the post. Or maybe today's a good day to make an update post with what has come after. A retrospective of the Sunbather year, maybe. Haha
  2. Got the stuff I ordered already. All well packed and in good condition. Buy from this user.
  3. Good music still left. I should mention the Thursday records are spoken for.
  4. Deafheaven stuff is 20% off at Deathwish right now, so if you didn't pick it up a year ago like the rest of us you can buy it now for cheaper. Or just buy a shirt. I'm still loving my Road to Judah shirt to death. http://store.deathwishinc.com/category/DWDEAL.html
  5. Pretty amazing gf. That doesn't seem to pop up often and is the last thing I need to finish my collection. Does remind me that I should rip the songs from http://www.discogs.com/Various-Braintree-Foundation-Presents-Soundtrack-For-Moments/release/1706727 and http://www.discogs.com/Various-This-River-Runs-Dry/release/2080003 so people can just hear them if they wish to.
  6. Don't think they have anything going right now. Anymore if they do it is LP10, I think.
  7. It's streaming on NPR. That's where I heard it.
  8. Most of this album is so post-rock-ish and mellow. I like it, but it further confuses me as to what Boris is even supposed to be.
  9. Are all search engines blocked in China or is it just google? I'm thinking that it's just google and you can use bing or maybe duck duck go and get a limited search going. It's better than nothing given the situation. Granted I know a friend from Egypt who used to use proxies to get around the government filters.
  10. I guess New Fumes guy was still in the Creepoid description mindset.
  11. Listening now, and it's indeed pretty great. Bass may be a bit small, but that's more taste since I don't think they used much distortion on it when recording. In general I have it up a little louder than most stuff, but with it's loud I am hearing things I never even noticed in the mp3s I've listed to for years. So, yeah, good album for vinyl.
  12. What awesome non sludge or doom metal bands are even around right now? My Dying Bride isn't as great as they once were, Decapitated is pretty great still, Carcass reunion is actually good, Gorguts had a great album last year. Otherwise it's kind of difficult to pin down really good death metal being put out right now. Most of the black metal is the gaze kind, it seems. There is some interesting punkish black metal. A lot of heavy music just feels like it steps in the hardcore/metalcore pool a lot more these days. What am I missing?
  13. Starburst could turn out like the recent Andrew Jackson Jihad, but hopefully it works out how they intend it to.
  14. Got the recent tour version from my dad's place yesterday. I'm going to listen to it later, after I've got my errand all finished. I'm sure it sounds fine though. The album was recorded miles better than, say, the pg 99 split tracks or their ep/demo(?).
  15. That sounds sweet. I keep waiting for Criminal Organization to get around to reissuing it, but I think they have something else planned to reissue before it right now.
  16. It's a pressing error or something, like a three seconds of silence. How the first press tests got through like that is strange. They must have not been paying attention at all by the end when they originally approved those. As far as I know every pressing after the first doesn't have the gap of silence. Just a quirky novelty of the first press now. Anyway, I've been waiting for one member who wanted all of the La Dispute and 7"s to respond back to me. If they don't get back to me by the end of today, I guess I'll get back to those of you who have PM'd me. Sorry to leave any of you hanging. EDIT: The deal fell through, so plenty of things left and now not pending. All pending items are up to date as of now and I think I got to all of the PMs about about things. If anything is not pending and you sent me a PM about it, I must have overlooked it, so if you could check in that would help the both of us.
  17. Also sorry for double posting my same thread, but I wish I had those Derek or sharkiton design skills to show you how great each disc looks for each individual thing. EDIT: Also accidentally put Thursday in the title though those records are currently at my mom's place, so I didn't list them. I do plan on selling the Hot Topic reissues of War All of the Time and A City by the Lights Divided, but don't want to officially list them due to not having them on hand right now. Also may put up Chariot - Long Live, but I need to listen to that one again to decide whether it stays or goes.
  18. I may be driving people off due to the description, but just to clarify it plays fine. It's just that I've never replaced the sleeves so the Pirates Press haze always leaves some vinyl dust in the grooves when resleeved. That's why it needs cleaning each time or new sleeves. Pretty common thing, actually.
  19. I'm more curious how you ended up with them as a client (even pm if you want), but also in.
  20. Well mixed and mastered anything tends to sound good on vinyl. Then again some classical snobs say cd is better to hold a full symphony. One of the good things about heavy music on vinyl is that it makes any surface noise mostly non-apparent. That's kind of my gripe about ambient on vinyl; the records has to be basically pristine not to ruin the music.
