  1. LP sounds more like From Monument to Masses without samples which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
  2. Can't remember, but isn't that what the last pressing of the first album looked like? Mines in storage at the mome. I really like the inverted artwork.
  3. Nice work Derek. I hope I'm right that with them moving forward by two eras at once. The Burning World makes sense as a point to split since YGR don't own the rights to it. The reissue of The Burning World was much appreciated this year as well. Very excited at the prospect of owning all Swans albums.
  4. The main thing that bugs me with this stuff is that some people who make it make good stuff, but then they also make videos that are unintentionally really creepy. Haileywhisperingrose is the main example that comes to mind. There is also a weird element of sexualizing the girls who do this stuff no matter what, granted I'm not into any male ASMR video-makers. When it comes to listening to something by a guy to sleep to, I tend to prefer calm/informative playthroughs of games.
  5. What kinds of things do you have to do to the artwork? Did you only have cd-sized source to make look good, or is it new art/layout kind of stuff?
  6. I think a lot of the better studio sentiment comes from how loud they want to be live. I haven't been able to see them yet, but that would be one of my worries, decibels over quality. I maybe wrong though, but the stories I've heard seem to follow a similar line.
  7. Since this is a reissue, hears the stream of the album, it's even official since it's hosted on tankcrime's channel. Get with it:
  8. Don't really experience it, but there are two channels I watch regularly that do asmr stuff just because it is relaxing and sometimes incorporates positive affirmation and meditation/breathing exercises.
  9. My dream is to one day take every puzzle piece and make a monstrosity of a puzzle that doesn't quite fit together at all. I also want to make a book from all of the pages and read how incoherent it is.
  10. I get Texas is big, but that is too many Texas dates. Give the rest of the US some love.
  11. Not my favorite, but I like Pipe Dreams. I can see some being comparatively disappointed to the rest of their catalog. One of the things I'm sad about this next release not having female vocals is that Around sounded like it was heading in a cool direction. Hope Sway will just be at least another cool direction, in the end, if not great.
  12. Variant collectors. Maybe they realize this band and most associated other bands have fans who gotta have 'em all; moreso than other bands on their roster. Doesn't affect me, so I don't really care. I just need one copy to enjoy a great album, and black is all the better even if it's not limited.
  13. Switched to Bullmoose. Should have thought of it before. They have some Decline & Downfall on hand. For $26 I hope they can get some Pure in stock.
  14. I'll gladly buy a new copy. Never thought the old sounded bad, at least.
  15. $30 is really a good deal on this now? I saw that price at local shop recently and thought it was crazy, granted I've had mine since it came out. Didn't seem too long ago that I bought a used $15 copy to help a board member, though. If anybody wants Peregrine for $30&shipping, I can see if the local store still has it, used of course.
  16. Really wish that Helmet album was actually good. Also closest you'll find Low - C'mon to the $1 Oldies failed to fulfill.

  18. Kind of amusing throb kind of sounds like skeet in japanese. Probably the one song I'd get rid of/replace if I could for this album, otherwise I'm pretty sold on Noise. The spot gloss could have been taken a bit further on the cover too, but maybe I'm thinking too intricately.
  19. Fly Pan Am - Ceux Qui Inventent N'ont Jamais Vécu (?) Cryptic Slaughter - Money Talks (should have got Convicted while I was at it since they had it, but hadn't heard the band before;spoiler, they're awesome) Veronica Falls LP Ramones - Rocket to Russian (no lyrics sheet, sadly)
  20. Gave it a shot, plus had a $2 credit. Sweet if it goes through.
  21. Really sorry to hear that Ryan. Glad you're feeling better though. I'd legitimately be sad to lose such an awesome creative force in the world (and I'm sure awesome, though self-deprecating, person in general). It's always on my list to get down and see one of your fests or even just the oddities shop.
  22. Weird. Was really hoping Ryan was getting to pressing things that had yet to be pressed already. It will happen in time, but I really want those old Dreamend and Monster Movie albums on vinyl. Wish Ryan or someone would also go through the pain of licensing Lost Songs and the PMfS/RCR split. Any reissue labels want to try to go through that pain in the arse?
  23. Seems so close that it would almost be worth going full monty. What was the shipping like for three prints?
