deletedunknown reacted to Out of Breath Records in Official Art Thread
Any VC'rs have artistic ability? I'd like to see it, and I'll post my own once I get it scanned.

I'd take Pinback's worst over most of the stuff on this board.

Trusty is one of those that I don't remember, but it's sounding pretty cool now that I'm listening to it. I need to break out the 20 Years of Dischord and reorient myself with the bands I looked over when I was younger. Listening to that comp and reading the booklet was a certain highlight of life when it came out.

I can proudly say that I'm bummed about this price and I also did not purchase Mars Volta MOV reissues (because I got the OG pressings at a fraction when they were first released...hell, the 4xLP FTM was only like $50 upon release from GSL) nor do I buy any of the insane nostalgia reissues that are hitting $25 for single LPs from SRC, Epitaph, etc.
I vote with my dollars in regards to this pricing structure. If I didn't already own this Pinback record, I would still go buy the OG black pressing for $15.
I support lots of bands and labels, but once they start price gouging, I'm out. If everyone did this...they would stop.

That would require ethics. Typically business and ethics don't mix. How Ian isn't another Greg Ginn or whatever exactly happened with Alternative Tentacles/Dead Kennedys is surprising in a general sense. Ian just manages too be a good person and businessman, a sad rarity.

Mine still plays perfectly when the anti-skate is set right, but the spot can be fairly obvious if you can check the disc visually in store.
Harder to capture with a camera.

but not like swirl, splatter hot topic type reissues. Just 180 gram or higher reissues. maybe on colored vinyl. but I would be cool with just 180 Gram black for all their material.

After Nation of Ulysses, Ian Svenonius has been mostly in garage styled bands like Make Up and Chain & the Gang. Really if you like punk/hardcore at all and don't know at least half of the early 80s releases, you don't actually know hardcore.
