I agree w/ you here too, you mentioned Andrea before and yeah, she's a bit older, but still not that bad, but Carol in the show I didn't like at all for the exact reasons you mentioned. I also think the actor playing Carl looks like an idiot and I don't like looking at his face. I hope Rick finds his hat, just so they can cover Carl up, heh. I read something today and I can't remember it exactly, but the reason they introduced so many characters at once is because of the short, 6 episode season. They didn't want to have to wait until halfway through (last night's episode) and introduce a ton of new people that late in the game. I still don't like that, but it makes sense a little bit. Now that I'm catching up w/ the books, I agree w/ what Allison said -- if you're watching just for the zombies change channel. This is a show about the people not the Zombies. Just like Lost was about the characters and not all the mythology. The show is slow paced, but I like it that way. Glenn rules. FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ THE COMICS (mild spoiler ahead, but it won't make sense to you if you didn't so relax, but feel free to skip ahead). Does it look like they be setting up Merle to be the Gov? /end mild spoiler. I finished issue 48 last night.

I honestly don't know what's really popular these days. I see the names Ke$sha, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, etc... but I couldn't name their songs, well except for the Beibz, but he rules. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Green Day, Weezer, etc... are huge names too and long with up and comers like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Kid Cudi, that's not really a bad thing. You might not like them, but they are talented artists. Kanye gets too much shit and he has done some dumb things outside of his musical career, but as an artist he is almost untouchable right now.

You're wasting time. We started around the same time, and I just finished #30! 43 now.

I'm up to issue 21 in the books. This gets pretty wild! I hope they can show some of this stuff on TV!

I never really had to deal with bullying. I went to a private grade school and I was pretty much friends w/ everyone. I opted for public high school and besides getting called a "headbanger" by some morons here and there in 9th grade nothing really happened. It was a small school and while I wasn't the most popular person there I feel I was well liked by my peers.

So I guess this new format is go... • There will two captains, one for each team. According to Postmedia, NHL players in the all-star pool will vote for the captains. • The fans will vote for the starters for each team. • The NHL will create a pool of "reserves" from which the captains will fill out their rosters regardless of conference affiliation. What do you guys think? It's going to be Crosby vs. Ovechkin, which might be a bit overkill this year w/ the Winter Classic, so I hope they don't pick those two, but it seems obvious. It looks like they're going to make some changes to the All-Star Game. I never really watch those, they're so boring, but I like one idea I hear. Have captains pick teams. The NHL is playing to old school hockey w/ outdoor games and throwback jerseys, so this sound like a good idea too.

I have a copy of Separation Sunday by the Hold Steady that I'd be willing to sell. I know it goes for quite a lot and I am going to put it on eBay, but I figured I would give you fine folks on VC a shot at it. I'm not really a fan of the challenge. I like the idea of it, but let's keep the game moving.
