  1. hahaha who are you now; amber?! you are permitted to like hipster music, as long as you don't start dressing like a mentally impaired grandpa in way-too-tight-pants. Plenty of room in my jeans, so I'm a Hipster until you get to my hips. I must be a TER! #imshortsoallofmyjeansarebig
  2. LATFH. also, people really expected the alk3 album to be good? ...really? I think that's the 5th time someone called me a hipster this week. #facingthetruth #sadpanda #hashtagsonVCftw

  6. I'm buying one for my parents, it will be perfect for them w/ a Netflix subscription. I've heard great things if that's what you want to use it for. I believe Hulu Plus works on it as well and Hulu just dropped their price for Plus yesterday too.
  7. Check this site out, it has a breakdown of all the samples in real time: http://alldaysamples.com/
  8. We might be in for a long wait for Season 2: The Walking Dead We may be in for a long wait for the show's second season. The show comes back in 2011 with a longer 13 episode season, but that reportedly won't occur until October, so that AMC can develop another Halloween-themed month to ramp up excitement for the show's return. It's also a recognition that AMC already has two summer shows, Mad Men and Breaking Bad, and their relatively small operation means that's really the limit for how many original shows they can support at once.
  9. Where does VC stand on these bands? I don't really see them mentioned too much. They're dating, both put out records this year, sound pretty similar, and now touring together so I'm just lumping them together. I love both of them, Wavves slightly more -- because King of the Beach is such an incredible album. I'll be visiting one of these fine cities to see their tour since it's skipping Pittsburgh (like most): Wavves/Best Coast: 01-21 San Diego, CA - Soma 01-22 Tempe, AZ - The Clubhouse 01-24 Dallas, TX - Granada Theater 01-25 Austin, TX - Emo's 01-26 New Orleans, LA - House of Blues 01-27 Tallahassee, FL - Club Downunder 01-28 Athens, GA - 40 Watt 01-29 Carrboro, NC - Cat's Cradle 01-31 Washington, DC - 9:30 Club 02-01 Philadelphia, PA - Starlight Ballroom 02-02 New York, NY - Webster Hall 02-03 Brooklyn, NY - Music Hall of Williamsburg 02-04 Boston, MA - Paradise 02-05 Montreal, Quebec - Cabaret Mile End 02-06 Toronto, Ontario - Phoenix Concert Theatre 02-08 Chicago, IL - Lincoln Hall 02-10 Milwaukee, WI - Turner Hall Ballroom 02-11 Minneapolis, MN - Varsity Theater 02-12 Omaha, NE - Waiting Room 02-14 Boulder, CO - Fox Theatre 02-15 Salt Lake City, UT - Urban Lounge 02-17 Vancouver, British Columbia - The Rickshaw Theater 02-18 Victoria, British Columbia - Sugar 02-19 Portland, OR - Hawthorne Theater 02-24 Los Angeles, CA - The Music Box 02-26 San Francisco, CA - The Grand Ballroom at Regency Center
  10. My g/f and I always listen to Spacehog. I have a special place in my heart for that record.
  11. Yeah, it was an iTunes announcement, so I'm not sure why people expected some huge changes or bigger things. Especially since they just upgraded iTunes last week.
  12. Sparks 4 lyfe ...but that stuff sucked. I once spilled a can of orange and it stained the table instantly.
  13. I doubt those types of people would re-buy them, if they do, they're dumb. This is for people who haven't, people who might only want a few songs, people who want to gift some great songs, etc...
  14. http://www.metalinjection.net/tv/view/6006/hardcore-dancing-in-assassins-creed Sadly I didn't see any crabs.

  16. I love it, I don't think it's as good as Feed the Animals (my favorite), but I haven't had a chance to spend too much time with it. The "War Pigs" intro got me so excited, as well as the Fugazi part, which I think is great. I loved hearing Spacehog too! I can't wait for his show in December opening up a new venue here in Pittsburgh.
  17. The Beatles are now on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/the-beatles/id136975 I won't be buying the songs from there, but this is huge. It's also the last time the music industry will have any power, haha.
