  1. Clicked- good luck. And I clicked on the link above, so inadvertently voted for someone else. I felt bad, but I mean, she's a little kid with cancer... So if I feel too bad I'm an asshole.
  2. Are you close to selling out of the red? I want a copy but was trying to wait until your next release to save a little on shipping...
  3. Haha! The guy is a freaken saint and I'm sure he'd be cool about it- but I totally understand. Last time I ordered from him I asked if he had any posters I could buy off him, and he just ended up sending me a bunch for free- all autographed and personalized.
  4. Try emailing him. I'm sure if you asked him to send it Media Mail he'd work with you.
  5. I was just telling my roommate about this story and mentioned how surprised I was there were no asian woman driver jokes yet (I'm also an asian woman). Really sad about their kid...
  6. I don't really see myself wearing that shirt. I just looked up the bundle shirt and I like that one better. With regards to that box- If it was anyone other than Jonah I'd probably be thinking wtf?? There are a few artists that can do no wrong in my eyes because I'm such a fangirl for them, and he's one of them. Anyway, thanks for posting the picture! Can't wait to get mine!
  7. When I decided to get the box set I thought it was the only way to get it on vinyl, so I was a little bummed when I saw the 12" was being released (especially because more often than not I'm too lazy for 7"'s). But Jonah's an incredibly good guy and I like supporting him, so it is what it is. Excited to get mine. Mine won't be here for a little while because I asked for an XS shirt- any chance you can post a picture?
  8. Slinch- I'll be sure to check out that link! I seriously can't even begin to tell you how helpful you've been. Lexicondevil- I've been looking on ebay and some various sites, and filtering out any units that haven't been tested and any sellers that don't have really good feedback. Nice to hear that the 2245 is good. That and the 2270 is what I'm leaning towards right now. Heypeterman- I really haven't found any around $50, and will probably end up buying it for more (as a result of impatience and wanting one in really great condition). As you can see from my other comments, I'm a dunce when it comes to audio equipment, so don't want anything I'll have to do anything with other than set up. And a question to all- there's a lot of talk about making sure the person I'm buying from is a reputable seller. Besides feedback, is there anything else that will help me determine that? I've just been googling the models I'm interested in and a majority of the it's going to ebay... is there something else I could try?
  9. I'm thinking about buying an old Marantz (maybe a 2230, 2245 or 2238b... still early in my search... but it'll be something along those lines) and I need some help becuase I'm a complete novice when it comes to audio equipment/set-ups. I currently have a Rega RP1, Klipsch B-20 bookshelf speakers and a JVC Z-GX3 (receiver? amp? I don't know what the heck it is... that's how little I know about this stuff... I just know I plugged my tt and the speakers into it, and it worked). Since I want to get a Marantz to replace the JVC... I can't figure out how to tell if it'll be ok with my speakers. What should I be looking for when I look at the specs of my speakers and the the receiver I want to buy to ensure they'll be ok? Also do I need anything additional with the Marantz? I would think I wouldn't need a preamp since all of the ones I'm looking at have a phono input... but I don't know if there's something else I'm missing. Any help would be really appreciated.
  10. I have a copy of Clarity (original press) I want to sell. PM me an offer if you're interested.
  11. For those that were waiting for HT- http://m.hottopic.com/hottopic/Music/Vinyl/Taking%20Back%20Sunday%20-%20Where%20You%20Want%20To%20Be%20Vinyl%20LP-310140.jsp
  12. Just spent a ridiculous (and embarrassing) amount of time trying to skim this thread for info I remember seeing here. I have an Expedit and I try to keep my records loose enough that when I put a one back it doesn't cause the ones around it to be pushed back, but lately it keeps happening (and it bugs the hell out of me that they're not all evenly lined). I think I remember people saying they cut up cardboard to use as a backstop, but I can't figure out how that'd be secure enough to not be pushed out of place. I think there were other methods mentioned too, but for the life of me I can't remember what they were. Any help would be appreciated!
  13. Every time this thread gets bumped my heart sinks. I'm so sorry to hear about your cat.
  14. Good to know. I have a 2x4 Expedit that I put horizontal too, and only have 4 full cubes. It's a pain having all my records on the bottom row because I have to basically lay on the floor to take records out and put them back, but I was worried about it holding up. When I move next month I think I'm going to just fill the top row.
  15. I have 4 or more unopened 12" ones that I was gonna trash or donate in the next couple of weeks. I think I got them from Michael's. If you want them you can have them for the cost of shipping. Can't really vouch for the quality of them though. PM if you want them (I'm a little busy with packing up my house to move, so I may not make it to the post office for a week or two). Or you could try Urban Outfitters- I think they carry some.
  16. I'm blaming my craziness on other stress in my life. When everything else is out of your control, every decision suddenly feels much more significant than it is. With that said... Posted!
