I'm sure that would definitely be the reason the dresden dolls named two of their albums "yes, virginia" and "no, virginia." i never looked into it to be honest. and yep! i went to horseshoes last weekend! got a stack of comics, a couple local band's CDs, and a record by locals Melissa & Paul. the owner is the nicest guy i have ever met. and some of my buddies play shows there sometimes. 2nd favorite place in downtown.... behind my dive bar spot.
