Me either. Also, I would never say you "have" to use a vacuum. I dj'd in college and I played those records all the time and they all still sound good from just using the discwasher at that time. I actually think it's really hard to scratch vinyl.

I give my records an initial cleaning. I use distilled water mixed with a touch of the blue dish soap. Spray it on lightly and use a painters pad. Then I do it again with only the water to clean and a different pad. You can let dry or I lightly pat the surface with a really soft microfiber cloth. But I also use the discwasher brush before playing.

Any suggestions for another one that may take it to the next level over the "dj".

So I got the 2m red after seeing the reviews. I have been using a ortofon dj s on the concord cartridge (sorry I couldn't exactly find the stylus but its blue with an s on the side and a bright orange dj on top). I have been tracking this at 2.0. Now compared to the 2m, the volume level of the ortofon dj is easily higher. Perhaps because it's a bit better? ( I know I paid more). So maybe the red wasn't the right buy Anyone have the same experience or insight into this? I was looking for a definite upgrade without getting too ridiculous on price as the dj cart is pretty old and I'm just simply looking to explore for a better sound.

You will definitely get it if you email them. Got my picture disc today by the way. It's pretty cool but I would have gotten one of the other colors if I had known about the future presses. I'm not happy about their method of releasing these.
