  1. I'm confused too and I hope this isn't a direct sequel. I feel like they still need to develop Superman/Clark Kent further. I don't think they need to thrust him into a storyline with Batman. I know they're trying to get everything started for Justice League, and if this is successful, this will more than likely kick start everything for a Justice League film, if Man of Steel hasn't done that already, without having to develop a Flash and/or Wonder Woman film first. I don't want Batman's re-introduction to be in a Man of Steel film. I liked the idea of reintroducing him in the Justice League film and then having his stand alone film after that picking up in year 2 for him.

  3. For the most part, it's a lot of guys w/ records from the 70's and 80's. While it's awesome to see how big their collection is and to see their passion for collecting, not really my choice in genre.
  4. I was trying to pin point the vibe this film was putting out and this hits it. Definitely looking forward to seeing this film.
  5. I'm not trying to hate on HT because SRC is 27.99, but does anyone else find these unnecessarily overpriced?
  6. Of course the Suns would mess up the draft and take Alex Len. Should've been McLemore.
  7. Saw Frances Ha last night. Very interesting film. Liked it a lot.
  8. I agree with it being the best Superman film. Definitely agree with Superman being a hard character to write. It's too easy giving him that Americana/Jesus Christ essence to him which I cannot stand.
  9. Really liked this film. I think Henry Cavill so was good as Superman. Definitely not expecting that much Russell Crowe but I'm glad there was because he was terrific too. The whole cast overall were great. Loved the humanity aspect they brought to Supermans role. I know a lot of people had a problem with the amount of destruction that occurred, but when you think about it, super human beings fighting each other in a downtown, how could there not be that much destruction. Really solid film. I know Warner Brothers wanted to see how this film would do before starting other films that would lead to the Justice League, so I hope this kills at the box office so they can start creating new films for other characters.
  10. This might seem pretty weak but for the past 7 months I can't stop thinking about death and when I do I have a panic attack. Ever since I became engaged I've hard the hardest time coping with death. The biggest thing I have a hard time dealing with is what happens when our time is up? Is there an after-life or does the light just turn off and thats it? It's hard for me to cope with the fact that you live this life and you come into contact with these people that you love and then all of a sudden it's over. You'd figure I should just keep my mind busy and not think about it, since I'm only 26 and have a lot of my life to live, but for some reason it creeps back into my head every now and then.
  11. Definitely hit up Amoeba. I know it sounds cliche but the sheer size of it is a sight to see. The LA one is great and so is the SF (used to be an old bowling alley and it's at Haight & Ashbury, the epicenter of the hippie movement in SF. Parents might get a kick out of it.) The California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park in SF is pretty awesome too. As well as The Ferry Building along the Pier. Ike's Place, 21st Amendment and Crepes on Cole are pretty great places to eat. And yes, you have to go to In-N-Out. Have fun!
  12. Saw Kings of Summer. Loved it! Absolutely hilarious and a tremendous overall.
  13. Most likely been said but: Hopesfall - The Satellite Years Underoath - Define the Great Line This Is Hell - Sundowning
  14. I get what you're trying to get at, but I think you're misinterpreting why people refute you. I'm saying you're wrong because it is my opinion that his movies are awesome. I think you're assuming I, and whoever else disagrees with you, speaks for the general public. We are just doing the exact same thing as you are, supporting our own opinion.
  15. You'd be hard-pressed to find a top director that isn't making films that are homages to their inspiration. Scorcese admitted to it, so has Spielberg and Fincher. Doesn't mean their movies are automatically shit because of it.
  16. Every Christopher Nolan movie sucks. There, now we're all saying something stupid.
  17. Just picked up the 2xLP 180g Pink version of this today over at my local record shop in Phoenix. Very lucky to have gotten it before they sold out.
  18. Had to settle for the Clear w/ Black Smoke because I was too slow to nab 180g but excited nonetheless to get a copy. Really digging this band.
  19. Definitely tough seeing this unfold. Was a huge fan of these guys growing up and still am. Hard to swallow seeing this type of behavior come from someone who used to be so positive.
  20. I'd really hate to see how you handle something really tragic, like a car accident.
  21. Second this. The cover can be pixelated or whatever. I bought this to listed to the record, not stare at the album art.
