  1. "While on their way back to Seattle to play a sold out Neumos date, the members of La Luz were in a severe van accident that resulted in ruined gear, personal injuries, merch loss, and a totaled van. For anyone interested in making a donation to help the band get back on their feet, please click here or use the donation button below." http://www.hardlyart.com/shop/laluz.html Love this band and feel horrible that this happened to them. They had just released a great first full length LP a few weeks ago.
  2. i talked to Matt and he didn't specify 12 minute songs, he did however say they were very long songs that wouldn't fit on a 7" so they will be releasing it as a 12".
  3. After 10 years of waiting to buy a Surf Nazis Must Die-Anti Everything 7"at a reasonable price(they go for $40-$60), found 2 copies within a week for $5 each in the used bin. Both were different versions, different covers, inserts, both had the "How to fuck this record" insert. This was the first: Then a few days later I found a copy (called the "Sieg Hiel, Count XLarsX edition") that's numbered, screen printed front and back and limited to 100(though this one is blank where there is supposed to be a #. Says "No. ___ of 100 copies ARSCHLOCH!!" This version is hard to find with all the stuff included(patch, pin) but it had everything. Didn't look like anyone had played it or taken it out of the sleeve. I told the owner what its worth and that I'd pay more, but he declined: Ten years of searching leads to one magical week.
  4. A few months ago I emailed the dude Chris and asked if the ones without obi strips would be numbered. He was kind of a dick and said, "If you read it says no obi-strip so wouldn't that tell you its not numbered." I apologized and said that I understood there was no obi-strip, I was just wondering if there was a place to hand number them. He completely ignored me, all he had to say was they're shrink wrapped so that wouldn't be possible. Thanks for letting us know what's inside. That TRC album is a little too generic hardcore for my tastes if anyone wants it (price of record+shipping). I won't be getting mine for a week or two tho cause media mail takes forever to get here.
  5. also available here: http://ughh.com/death-grips-no-love-deep-web/HRVS53177LP/ $18.97+ $5.88 shipping= $24.85 for those interested Just bought Ty Segall Band- Live In Aisle Five from them for $9.82 shipped. Was like 70% off since it was the last copy. If anybody needs the first Ty album its $8.23+shipping. Only 1 left. http://ughh.com/ty-segall-ty-segall/CF002LP/ They have quite the eclectic mix of stuff.
  6. hey dan, not sure if ur talking about me, i grabbed 1 but i'm gonna hold onto it. I have an extra 7" i can let go for free+shipping. I was staying at jonah's when that came out and i bought it at amoeba. he said i was wasting my money and gave me a couple more to bring back home(don't remember them being on red, but they must be). i gotta find it though, they've just been filed away for 6 years. I'll look tomorrow if someone wants it. Trying to keep 1 of things our friends do even if i don't listen to them. Kinda doing the same thing with fidlar. Never listen to em but keeping em in case 30 years down the line we're all sitting around a campfire we can have a jonah,zc,lyle listening party. whats weird is i listen to the ukus most out of anyones releases. Love Aren's singing!
  7. Right on, hope it works out for you. I did ask for the Gap Dream 7" mp3s since my rip from my 7" sounded like shit and he sent those right away. The order # I used for them to check was the one sent with the tracking #. Mine was included in my mailing address so look there. I think it's actually a personal ID # rather than order # that shows all your orders since the # was the same for 2 different mailed out orders.
  8. I emailed 11spot and they got me a refund for the Glammered Satin LP within 10 minutes. Unlucky to not get the record, but lucky to get the refund(price of LP+shipping which was rad considering they still sent me a couple things with free shipping). The dude Daniel from 11Spot is super helpful and nice as long as you don't write "Where's my fucking shit? I'm never buying from you assholes again, this is fucking stupid and I hope the label burns." While he's understanding of people's frustrations, those types of emails get you nowhere. I just included my order # and asked for a refund, really simple. I mentioned a problem with the site*, he was embarrassed no one on their end caught the mistake and I was the first to bring it up so he offered me mp3's from the digital store(not the link everyone got) or anything else, but I didn't wanna take advantage of his generosity. * The problem I'm sure more than I noticed was on the main store site is a list of Burger bands, as you hit a link at the top(cassette, LP, CD, etc) the artist list became the Daptone Records bands. They changed it this morning.
  9. SlyVinyl seems to really help bands get the word out. I posted a week or two ago about a Guantanamo Baywatch/Natural Child split on Suicide Squeeze here, no replies. It goes up on SlyVinyl 3 days ago and within a day the 250 colored copies are gone. Granted they could have already been close to gone, but its definitely a great site to keep an eye on.
  10. They took this down, wonder how many sold, was up for 4 hours or so. Lover hearing evolutions of songs, glad I didn't wait as "this week" seemed to become "this afternoon".
  11. The email also mentioned the new Thee oh Sees Singles Collection Vol. 3 coming out at the end of this month. And the next record in this live series is gonna be a Fuzz record. It seemed to say there are 4 songs, I didn't exactly understand the details so decipher for yourself, comes out beginning of December... "Finally, our last big hurrah of the year is another super special entry into the live series - Fuzz. By now I hope a few of you have been jamming to the velvet covered foil stamped monstrosity that these shreds call a debut LP. It's a furry beast and I have bowed at its altar. What we have here is another beast entirely, but no less impressive - these 4 tracks were impeccably executed to a beyond sold out crowd at the SF Eagle, the tape is saturated with sweat and beer breath but it is brilliantly played and immaculately captured, down to the small details like Ty, (who's birthday it was) blowing out the candles on his cake mid-set without missing a beat. It was photographed and if you listen real hard you can hear the cheers midway through their last song, it's no fucking joke. These guys played at the height of their considerable powers that night and I'm soooper glad that we were there to catch it to tape. That's coming out in early December."
  12. Gemini begat Twins. Gemini + volumes = Twins. In other words, Gemini is the Twins demos, recorded between 2010 and 2012 by Ty Segall and Eric Bauer. Some were followed straight through, some were departed from to get the Twins effect. Now, in Sleeper's dark, frothy wake, there's room next to Twins in this world for it's prenatal partner-in-womb, Gemini. Gemini is LP-only, no digital, and ultra-limited, reserved for those who most need to look inside. Don't sleep as long as Gemini is in the world with you! It won't be for long. In fact, we're only gonna be selling it as a mailorder for a short period of time - like, say, just this week? Because we don't have enough to go around, that's party of the booty of Gemini. So drop your dime now and we'll have it to you by November 19th. http://www.dragcity.com/products/gemini $18 (free shipping as usual)
  13. La Laz- Its Alive (Same light blue as the Fuzz record, which I hadn't seen in a while and now 2 in a month) Audacity- Butter Knife (Very enjoyable record. Short and sweet. Suicide Squeeze is expanding there sound it seems with the new Guantanamo Baywatch/Natural Child 7" and they will be doing a GB full length, along with Audacity, Meat Market, Destruction Unit, etc. Far cry from 764-Hero and Modest Mouse and the sound of yesteryear) Audacity/The Coathangers 7" (We had EXTREMELY humid weather and this happened to my record in 2 days of shipping. 2nd time in 15 years of mailordering so I wasn't too bummed, still got the songs with the mp3 card)
  14. Yeah I got that link from Sean, that was super nice of him. Like 30-40 free mp3 records. Stoked to get the Cosmonauts stuff and the Pangea record on my computer. Got an email from the guys at YepRoc and they have started mailing orders out in chronological order so its just a matter of time that they get to your order. They will send out a tracking # when your orders go out. And Sean said there were something like 600 orders they had to transfer over.
  15. Was gonna show it spinning, but couldn't notice the marble or what you wanna call it. One side that stuff is green and black and the other is blue and black, in the same positon on LP(LP is more peachy than orange, sorry camera phone). Also includes a color insert with lyrics and pics...
  16. I got a order shipped yesterday from a Sept 11th purchase. Sean is super nice and always helpful. The new webstore is run by YepRoc so if you hadn't gotten a confirmation notice from USPS about your order you can try them too. [email protected] I got the Tommorrow's Tulips record, its great! If these came with download codes I'd hook you up. Or ask Sean for the mp3s in the time being. He sent out mp3s to those that ordered The Garden LP cause there's a minor skip so it's getting repressed. So he might have mp3s for Tomorrow's Tulips. Hope it works out for you!
  17. got a cool Cleveland Bound Death Sentence LP...
  18. God Equals Genocide- It Wasn't Made For Us 7" screen printed cover by the band (Todd thinks just a few were made) Screaming Females/Tenement split 7" on orange /100
  19. The Cosmonauts- Persona non Grata on purple marble Health Care- Lies 7" on red 18/75 on Nobunny's new label Earthless- Rhythms From A Cosmic Sky on clear
  20. Wu Tang Clan- Enter The Wu Tang cassette "Club Edition" (99 cents at goodwill for a pretty new copy) Obits and No Age Lps and the live Obits 7" and the No Age beach ball came yesterday Heavy Cream- Super Treatment LP on swirly red Be Your Own Pet- Not Rocket Science on grey swirl (Last 2 are up on infinity cat after they found boxes while moving, that Heavy Cream LP is so good!)
  21. can't help, i got it when it first came out too. I did buy the repress today since it was cheap so I'll look when it comes.
